Remarks

Pros: Good infrastrucute. Well maintained labs. Well experienced teaching facility. Big big play grounds and rooms. Distrubance less campus. Cons: we will get school type of feeling because of some rules. Canteen food is not upto mark. Need to take permission to even put a single step out from the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

At the time when I was in college, the course curriculum is designed and given by the JNTUH board. The curriculum was pretty good in terms of academic structure. But coming to the subjects it's outdated and not up to the need of nowadays real-time industry.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements are not as that we expected. But not so bad also. The number of companies visiting for hiring is huge but the companies mostly related to software and marketing sectors. It's somewhat disappointing factor for the core job lovers. If you have very good communication and interview skills there is no doubt u will have 3 to 4 jobs in your hand till the time of your pass out.

College Events

4.5

Every year events start with new joining orientation event for new joiners. Followed by fresher's day, dj fests, traditional day, graduation day, annual day events. In between we have technical fests where every branch conducts their own technical fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

When I was in college Fee structure is reasonable. Gurunanak having a world class infrastructure and good labs and etc. So the fee of 72000 is not expensive. But now the fee is 1lakh + ,it's really expensive but according to nowadays standards it's also reasonable.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am not much aware about loan facility provided in my college. But I got scholarship from state govenment to complete my course. The college allows students go through government scholarship programme called epass. According to caste of student he will get 35000 to full fee consession. There is no seperate scholarship provided by the college.

Campus Life

5

There is lot of scope for students who really well in extracurricular activities. Gurunanak have a very big 2 play grounds. And one integrated indoor stadium. Where everyone can go and play lot of indoor and outdoor games.apart from the sports. There is an innovation hub for students who wants to make their ideas become realities.and we have thub innovation center and many more. Coming to labs they are very well organized and having proper working equipments. Lab faculy also very supportive.

Hostel Facilities

4

I was not stayed in hostel but I heard from my friends. There are seperate hostels for boys and girls and girls hostel was fully securitized. The food and facilities provided there was really awesome. But the accommodation fee is nearly 75k per year. It's much expensive but looking at infrastructure and facilities it's perfect.

Alumni/Alumna

I heard that there is alumni network is there in my college.but frankly I don't find any of it's activities in my college. Even we don't know who are the members of the alumni network. Alumni network is virtually present but coming to reality there is nothing from them.

Admission

I have done my diploma in 2015 and I wrote tsecet exam conducted state board. And I secured 500th rank in that exam. After that I gone through the certificate verification and web counselling process. I listed gurunank is my no.1 priority in the web counselling. After some days I got allotment order mentioning that I got a seat in gurunanak college.I gone through admission process and it's done.

Faculty

4

Gurunanak has very huge crowd of faculty having ratio 1:20 faculty to students. And many are phd scholers, many were doing research activities, and all are well experienced. There is teaching and non teaching faculty system in gurunanak college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
