Likes

The college is ranked no1 in nirf ranking.
Infrasturcture is quite good and teachers are very expertized.
We hage visitng faculty coming from the idustry to mentor us in architectural design .

Dislikes

The campus is quite small and canteen is in engineering block only
So many submissions lined up and they expect more work to be done

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course cuz i wanted to do something related to deisgn field and architecture in BMS is fun but sometimes it cab get hectic when submission are all at once. We have reviews and exams once a month

Internships Opportunities

I'm not sure about the internships cuz I'm still 1st year but i have heard people saying that students have to apply to intership and get job on thier own and work on their thesis as well. Most of my seniors are doing the same.

Fees and Financial Aid

I got in through KEA KCET couseeling , i got in 1st round it self, so i pais 113000 to kea and 13k to college. Overall it came around 1 lakh 30k. Managemnets students paid 6 lakh per year. And students through comed k paid around 2 lakh.

Campus Life

V have fest called envisage, and we have club. Our library is very accessible and has books both offline and online. not much focus is given to sports but we do have ncc which is taken very seriously.

Admission

My nata and boards score was good. I went through kea couselling and i applied for bms, rv and dayananda sagar . I was hoping to get BMS itself cuz i had only this college in my mind and i was quite happy that i got this college in 1st round of couselling it self.

Faculty

We have 2 teachers for all subjects for a class of 40, except for design subject were we have 4 teachers including 2 visitng faculty. We have workshops conducted as well. We have test every month , only fo theory and atleast internal reviews and we have external review as well.

Night Life

Since I'm day scholar , i don't stay late at college . People stay back to work on their group assignments. Coffee kuteraa, shilavana, colloquium and lawn are places where mostly people hang out within the college.

Admission:

The admission procedure is not tedious. After plus 2 and appearing for JEE 2 or NATA exams, candidates have to apply with that scores. After screening they will be called for interview. For validation purposes, all the original certificates will be scrutinized.

Remarks:

This is a very good College in terms of education and co-curricular activities. The events hosted in the College and the workshops are almost always paid for so it is hard if you don't have pocket money with you always.

Remarks:

It is in my hometown. it's nearby to my house. there aren't many architecture colleges in Mysore. so I didn't have many options. this was a reputed college and was from where many architects passed out.

One of the top architecture college in Mysore

Admission:

I applied to the college based on my score in the National Aptitude Test for Architecture (NATA). I also appeared in the JEE Main paper 2. However, the NATA score been good then JEE Main paper 2 so I said for the NATA counselling. I was allotted a seat in the institute in spot counselling. After the grant of the admission I was called to the campus to complete the procedural formalities for admission. I opted for the institute because it is one of the top institute for architecture studies in Mysore.

Remarks:

If a student is serious about joining Architecture and studying this course this is a good college to join as the lab library and other facilities that are provided are up to the marks . This environment that is there is quite helpful.

Remarks:

The Architectural education scene is still a work in progress, and the quality changes dramatically in a short period of time and hence the relevancy of my remarks here are questionable., Management has changed recently, the University of Mysore has taken over, and it brings bigger resources, better integration with other university facilities and it's government-like administration with it's pros and cons. It would be wise to personally visit the facilty.

Bms has always been a well known top tier college especially in architecture, so i had this as my option 1, and i successfully got into it. I also had rv, ramaiyah, pes and dayanand on the list. So you can get into the college by 1.cet- 50%nata + 50%board marks are considered, and accordingly a rank is given. If you're within the cut off range, you can get a seat. BMS College of Architecture

I choose this college as i got it from Merit seat(KCET) .My first preference was this college and got it. I preferred this college because of NIRF ranking and the it was one of the best colleges in INDIA. I was satisfied as this was my only preferred college. My experience

I applied for BMS COLLEGE OF ARCHITECTURE because it's a top college in Bangalore. The other college i applied was Reva University and Cmr university. I choose this college as it is near the metro station and easier to travel by metro rather than facing traffic. The admission process is through Kcet, comedk, or management quota seats. You have to apply for it and enter your nata score to get rankings. I took admission through Kcet. Have your 10th, 12th and NATA scores to apply. I applied through the government portal. COMEDK. I got in after 3 rounds. There is a reservation as well but I do not fall in any category as I was applying from Kolkata to study in Bangalore. Roller coaster of bms

One can get in to college through 1. KEA by attaching nata score to kcet applicable for karnataka students Exams are nata and jee paper 2 u will be alloted a rank cut off for college is around 600 2.
