Course Curriculum Overview

5

It played an important role in my choice of this course. It provides a good foundation in core subjects and practical learning. Practical experience in the lab and through projects helps in grasping the applicability of theoretical concepts in actual life. It has a well-structured syllabus and promotes step-by-step knowledge. Moreover, the curriculum will help students in their higher studies as well as in practical applications by enhancing their ability to analyze problems. Examinations: It consists of internal tests and end-sem tests. Exams are conducted regularly; they are of moderate levels of toughness; with proper preparation, they can be cleared easily.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee I pay each year is 222410 and for the completion of the course that is of 4 years i will be paying 889640 Also my batchmates are paying the same amount who are registered through KCET exam

Campus Life

4

They have annual and technical fests such as [Annual Fest] and [Tech Fest], typically conducted from February to April. They have good library facilities, including textbooks, reference materials, and journals that can be obtained from the library itself. They have good class facilities, including projectors, smart boards, and internet connectivity, and sports and cultural activities available on campus. Clubs and student portals help to foster teamwork and leadership and ensure student participation and interaction.

Hostel Facilities

4

The basic facilities in the hostel room include a bed, a study table, a chair, a cupboard, a fan, a light, and a washroom. Meals are hygienically served in adequate quantities, though there is a scope for improvement in terms of taste. Meals are served three times a day from a fixed menu, which includes veg as well as non-veg options. The process of registration in the hostel is simple, facilitated through the college admin itself, and the fees are reasonable enough compared to other options to stay in close proximity to the college. Students who stay in other areas typically reside in rooms or PGs in surrounding areas, like vidyanagar which are convenient to reach and are within a safe environment to stay in the city

Admission

Apart from that, I submitted applications for admission to a few more colleges in Banglore and Mysore and got confirmed admission to some of the institutions. I opted for this college because of the academic reputation that the college maintains and the quality curriculum that the institution provides to the learners. There were instances when the admissions to the college were rejected because of the high cutoff marks and the competition that the college conducts for the admissions. There are high transparency levels in the admission process for the candidates who want to enroll in the college by satisfying the eligibility and the test that the college conducts for the learners. Examinations like CET/JEE allowed for the admissions.

Faculty

3

The faculty-student ratio of my college is quite satisfactory, making it easy to interact with the teachers. Most of my faculties were approachable and always ready to explain issues one might have either in class or after class. Some of the best faculties in my college were [Faculty Named 1] and [Faculty Named 2] since they were able to impart knowledge clearly, were approachable, and were able to explain the concepts in relation to real-life scenarios. There were some faculties who were not quite favored by the students, like [Faculty Named 3] of this college, since they used to teach quite fast. The exam consists of internal assessments as well as end-semester exams. The exams are moderately tough, but a student who studies regularly will find no problem in cracking them. A minimal number of students are failing, mainly due to a lack of preparation or because some subjects are hard. The curriculum provided is good, but additional topics from a practical point of view will make it more useful.

Night Life

3

The college also offers many amenities like a gym, cafeteria, library, and others, and these are open until the evening as per college rules and regulations. The library is open during work hours for studies and reference. The timings of hostel entries into campus are also maintained very strictly in colleges. The popular hangouts within the campus are typically at the cafeteria or some open hangout areas. The hangouts outside typically vary as there are many cafes around. The area is normally safe with students returning early in the night.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is a mix of both Computer Science and AIML which is increasingly relevant in today's world. Second year: Subjects like Mathematics for AIML, Data Structures, Stats for Data Science, Computer Networks, Third year: DBMS, ANN, ML operations Some other elevtives are also available and courses like Universal Human Values, POME, EIPR etc. Honestly, POME, EIPR, UHV should have less course credits and probably MCQ type exams (like IC and Yoga in first year). Curriculum is good and updating for applications helped along with projects. Exams are generally once in a month, 1.5 - 2 units for each subject each exam. Lab exams at the very end before CIE marks finalization. Then 2 weeks gap for Lab SEE, then 1 week gap and actual SEE's.

Placement Experience:

KSIT has an average placement rate of 70%-85% depending on the branch . CSE,ISE and ECE branches have higher placements while mechanical and civil have fewer opportunities in IT sector . Average package is about 4-6LPA . KSIT attracts many IT based recruitiers with some core companies for non -IT branches . It also provides pre-placement training, coding boot cams, aptitude tests and soft skills development . Alumni network is moderate, but students need off-campus efforts for high paying jobs
