What Students Say

Likes

Campus- DTU has a big campus of 170 acre.
Fest- Dtu fest like engifest are Delhi one of the best fest.
Placement/coding/networking culture- best of best available.

Course Curriculum Overview

B.tech ECE of DTU is best course nation wide. DTU has gained its posititioned in top ten engineering colleges in india. DTU was the first engineering college of Delhi. DTU offers a good networking, culture for their students. We have option of opting 12 elective as per ourselves and our requirement for future placements.

Class Size: 55Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Many big firms like microsoft, qualcom, etc comes to dtu to offer internship offers to students. They offer a good stipend of 35k to 50 k per month based on company in 6th sem. Intern + ppo offers comes in last year.

Placement Experience

Placement are good. Companies visited - Bain and co. , mckensey and co. , TATA, Airtel, Qaulcom, Samsung, microsoft, amazon, etc. Almost all tier one companies visited the campus. Overall 4.5/5 in governement engineering college for placments.

Fees and Financial Aid

Equilvalent to 250000 INR per year. Fee scholorship are offered every year but you should have a minimum amount of family income and your father should not be working in government organisation with more than 600000 INR. Scholarship available for categories- OBC, SC, ST and for EWS.

Campus Life

Weekends - saturday , sunday off. A big library- dtu central library with almost all kind of books necessary or told by professor for the course in good amount. 1st year books are generally not left over due to same course of all btech students, so try to grab as soon as possible.

Admission

I choosen this college because of its good reputation. I only applied for government engineering college through jac and got dtu . For admission you need to register and make your profile on JAC Delhi portal. JEE Mains qualifier are elligble here.

Faculty

1 faculty per 10 students ratio. DTU offers best of best faculties graduated from NIT's IIT's etc. Dtu attendance is chill but exams time is little stressy. Exams held every 1.5 months. Generally one semester is of 5 month which includes - midterms, endterms, class test', midterm practical test , endterm practical test etc. BUT YOU CAN MANAGE ALL THIS!

Night Life

Gyms are available, many cafeterias area available, saturday sunday libraries and departments are closed. In exam time the libraries remains open for night also. Campus timing are not unique , they are flexible. Oat, Wind tunnel, sports complex, dtu canteen, twin towers, dtu lake, pragya bhawan.

My experience studying at NSIT

Likes

Placement was among the best and most the top companies visited
Infrastructure was appreciable with no major shortage of laboratories
Senior-Junior interaction compensated the average faculty

Dislikes

Outdated curriculum negatively impacted the conceptual clarity
Too difficult to secure good grades due to strict marking
Mediocre support provided to student led initiative

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was evidently outdated and irrelevant to modern engineering challenges and could have severely disadvantaged students' learning outcomes. Although, interaction with seniors compensated this.

How Good B.Tech. from JAMIA MILLIA ISLAMIA is?

Likes

Here in Jamia the faculty is very experienced in their fields , they make you feel Engineering and not to just read books. there teaching methods are amog the top in the nation
the curriculum not just focus on your engineering but also focuses on your personality development.
the infrastructure itself gives you the feel of oldness and the reputation of the college.

Dislikes

one bad thing is its less availability of Hostel rooms .
there is a very strict rule of 75% attendance .

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

The Dream College Life

Likes

The campus is completely different from the whole city, it is more cleaner and is quiet peaceful with various different beautiful views at different points and is not too big so could easily walk through the campus.
Has really great architecture of the buildings and is surrounded by really intelligent people including some over the top profs and some really great minds from the country.
The night life is completely different and is one of the best part of staying in campus.

Dislikes

some of the hostels are quiet old and need renovation.

Placement Experience:

If you study passionately and have decent communication skills and some important competencies, I assure you that you will secure a position in a great company. Here at IIT Delhi, you earn what you work for; you can receive salary packages as high as 2 crores, but some offers start as low as 4 lakhs per annum.
