Course Curriculum Overview
the ECE curriculum is highly comprehensicve , covering a broad spectrum from fundamentalds to advance Iot and embedded systems . as my interests lie in on site and field like job , i prefer to learn something that is more related with the moving industry and have much more of a real world skill . VTU curriculm needs to be updated with the rapidly advancing technologies as syllabus seems to lag in the past Frequency and timing of exams are generally good . Difficulty level being moderate to hard
Placement Experience
The placement cell at my collage is quite active with students becoming eleigable for campus placements from the 6th or 7th sem given our location in Bangalore , the collage attracts a vide range of companies particularly from the IT and semiconductor sector. Percentage of students getting placements are 60 % companies visited are Wipro , TCS , MIcrosoft etc
Fees and Financial Aid
Total course expenditure 14,00,000 yearly fee: 350000 year wise no increase for management seats Lab fee: 20,000 scholarships are provided for applied candidates Fee for KCET admission - 1 lakh 50 thousand plus lab charges Fee for COMEDK admission - 3 lakh 50 thousand plus lab charges scholarship available through state scholarship portal for karnataka residents , providing fee reimbursements based on category and income.
Campus Life
Campus life is a vibrant blend of rigorous academic and engaging extra-curriculars , the annual cultural fest and tech fests are major highlights providing platform to showcase both creative talents and innovations . There are more than 20 active clubs to choose from and strong sports teams.
Admission
I chose this collage primarily because of its reputation for the ECE department and its strategic location in Bengaluru which offersw unparalled access to electronic component hubs and technical resources , while i considered other VTU affiliated institutes and private universities in the city , this collage stood out due to its balance of acadamic rigour and flexibility it provides for indipendant technical projects Eligibility of admission being grades above 65% in 12th or PU2 Exams accepted are KCET , COMEDK , JEE
Faculty
The ECE faculty at my collage are generally approachable and technically sound , maintaining a 1:30 student to faculty ratio. Professors often go beyond syllabus to support hands on initiatives such as tech fests , hackathons , ideathons , other tech events and sessions. The course structure is rigorous , following the VTU framework . Exams can be stressful if underprepared .
Interview Experience
Theres no criteria for interview or written test for admission as its purely based on competitive exams such as JEE , KCET , COMEDK and management type admissions. Admissions can be done by visiting the collage in person and having a talk with the admission department .
Night Life
The nighlife around the campus is relatively balanced , catering to the busy schedules of engineering students , since we are in Bengaluru the surrounding localitites are generally safe and active , though student life is governed by specific campus timings
