I really wanted to go for Btech but i knew that my parents will not be able to afford such a big amount , because of this issue I went to college for some counselling and interaction with teachers, and trust me they really helped me a lot and helped in making this decision of opting BCA. Though in my course we do not study as deep as Btech students do but we are not behind either we have our course plan that really helps us to study and not let us behind from requirements of the companies. Courses and Programms in UPES are made with so much efforts that in whichever course you enroll you will learn so much and will feel worthy.

In first year everyone from every course had to do a SRIJAN internship which is a social internship done via NGO's. IN this internship we are given a choice of self and university choice.I opted for university choice and was placed in NGO of my own city like from where I belong (city). and later every year we have to do some kind of internships based on our courses.

From 5th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies visit like microsoft, tcs, infoysis etc. and packages are offered according to the courses and interviews. 80-90% students are placed with good and average packages. Also placement totally depends on the skills, I feel colleges are bridges that provide us companies and to get jobs we must put our own efforts and faculties are truly amazing they help a lot. My plans after getting degree is post graduation.

My course BCA is for 3 years and my course fees is 6.5 lakhs approx. without any scholarship. I live in uttarakhand so i got the UTTARAKHAND DOMICILE SCHOLARSHIP i.e. of 25% for whole course . so approximately i pay 2 lakhs every year , around 1.2 or less for each semester. There are other scholarships available as well like MERIT SCHOLARSHIP (applicable only on first year) , in this you get scholarship on the basis of 12th Marks, that too varies on how much you scored like 95%+ = 30% scholarship, 90%+ = 25% of scholarship and so on till 60%. Next is NATIONAL LEVEL EXAM SCHOLARSHIP, based on JEE/CUET you get scholarships and etc.. Except for domicile all the other scholarships are only available for 1st year and to continue it you should maintain you CGPA. If you dont avail any scholarship you have to pay 6.5 fees for whole course.

Campus Life at UPES is truly amazing. There are major 3 fests that i experienced that are SPANDAN which is sports and cultural fest that is occured to encourage student faculty relationship. next is OJAS in this sports are played and students from different universities also come and play. I was in OC so it was a crazy experience for me and Lastly UURJA in this fest artists are called and this is the grand annual fest of UPES. Well i am little dissappointed in fests as there are no such celebrations that i experienced. I feel students in coleege stress a lot about placements degrees courses skills and for that atleast one fest either small or big should be organised just for fun. Student clubs are amazing here and names of clubs are amazing like sports club is knowns as SPHURIT dance club is known as TAAL TARANG and many more. Student portal everything works fine and technologies provided are also amazing.

I chose UPES specially because of its serene beauty i mean view from campus but not only this there were many more reasons. Fisrt one was scholarship being a resident of uttarakhand I got the uttarakhand domicile scholarship. I would have got it anyway as i scored 90% in 12th, Second its placement records, third was faculty, fourth was its first unviersity to collab with OPEN-AI, Fifth my parents were satisfied after the open day at UPES as they met many faculties got to knoe about student programs and opportunities.

Faculties of UPES are really amazing and very helpul, understanding, well educated, makes class interactive and intresting. i really like some faculties from my first year of college i would also like to name some, Dr. Tanu Singh, Dr. Piyush Bagla, Mr. Sandeep Dixit, i must say these teachers are really amazing and also i would like to mention Touseef Iqbaal Sir he was a bit strict but used to encourage us a lot. All the teachers and there were so many more during my college year who were really nice and helpful throughout the semester and later as well. I feel teachers are not biased here they really try to help each and every child to come forward ask out their issues and solve them by their own understandings..and here future is actually bright.

I gave interview and topics for PI were from the course that we sare enrolling for and from class 12th's courseand general knowledge too. I was given some dates and had to chose one from them for my PI and time was also a choice and It was taken via microsoft teams. I prepared from youtube and chatgpt only. Faculty who took my PI was very kind and cooperative.

Nightlife of UPES is beautiful. GYM, cafes, library, public areas has different timings like library on usual days closes at 8pm whereas on saturday at 5:30 pm. Cafes are closed aound 6 or 7 pm. I don't live inside campus hostel but timings for girls are I think 10pm and boys 10:30pm. But after 8:00 pm no entries are allowed for hostel students and for non-hostlers its 6:30pm you have to exit before 8:30pm. Strictness and security are on point. Fmous places in Dehradun is obviously Mussorie and many more like buddha temple, malls etc. and i fell hanging out in ay time is safe because near are campus police starts checking during night (every night)
