What Students Say
Likes
- The learning is very practical with regular coding sessions, projects, and hands on assignments instead of only theory.
- The mentors are approachable and genuinely helpful. They never hesitate to explain concepts again if someone is struggling
- The overall student environment is motivating because most people are focused on improving their skills and preparing for their careers
Dislikes
- The timetable can sometimes feel too much which leaves less time during busy weeks.
- A more variety of food options available at the campus would have been better
- I feel the campus could have more open spaces and recreational areas for students to relax
Course Curriculum Overview
Before joining I thought it would be like any other engineering college where we just study for exams. But after coming here, I felt it's a bit different. We do have theory classes, but there are also coding sessions, projects and assignments almost every week. Sometimes it gets a little hectic but I think it's actually helping us learn better. The syllabus feels relevant.
Fees and Financial Aid
When I was comparing colleges, I made a small spreadsheet with the fees of every option I had. At first, NIAT looked like the most expensive one, so I almost removed it from my list. But before making the final decision, I thought I would at least understand how the admission process worked. That's when I found out that the NAT exam isn't just an entrance test, it also decides your scholarship. I took the exam, scored well and received 60% scholarship. Instead of paying the full 16lakh for four years, my actual cost came down
Campus Life
Campus life has been pretty good till now. It didn't take much time to make friends because almost everyone in the first year was new and trying to settle in. After classes we usually hang out at the cafe, library, hostel common areas or just walk around the campus. I have also joined a few club activities and workshops. They are a good way to meet seniors and students from other branches and it makes college feel like more than just attending classes. The infrastructure is good too and the hostel are all well maintained. Overall I feel there's a nice balance
Admission
Honestly this wasn't my first option in the beginning. I checked a few other colleges too and spent a lot of time comparing them. After talking to seniors and reading about the college, I felt this place matched what I was looking for. What convinced me was that the focus wasn't only on completing the degree. There was a lot of importance given to coding, projects, internships and learning practical skills from the first year itself. That was something I wanted so I decided to join
Faculty
One thing I noticed early on was that the faculty doesn't just teach and leave. If a topic isn't clear, they are happy to explain it again without making students feel awkward. That made it much easier for me to ask questions and participate in class. As a first year student, having mentors who are patient, approachable and genuinely interested in helping us learn has been one of the best parts of my experience.
Night Life
Staying in hostel has made college life much more convenient. Since it's inside the campus, getting to classes, labs, or the library takes just a few minutes. The rooms are comfortable, and facilities like wifi, laundry, housekeeping and all day security makes our day to day life easier. The mess food is also okay okay for daily meals and whenever we want a change the campus cafe or nearby food outlets are our saviour.
