Remarks

Every coin has two sides. Infrastructure,NAAC grading, Placements,Faculty issues etc are there but there are many more reasons to look for positive. Our University is one of the oldest university in Odisha.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

It is good but not that upto the mark. The reason why i am saying this because the course curriculum should be changed according to the need of market. You should learn subjects that really matters and practical knowledge is completely unavoidable. But course & exam structure are old but not bad at all.

Placement Experience

3

Job opportunities are maximum for the computer science and Information Technology branch. Placement of the traditional(core) branch are not upto the mark. Maximum students are getting hired by software firms.

College Events

3.5

University conducts three main fest. Illumina(Sports fest),Samavesh(Tech fest),Vassaunt(Cultural fest) are these fests. These fests create a life long memory for the students. We just wait for these fests.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure is not expensive at all if you compare with other govt. & private institutions. Regular students & Self Sustaining Course(SSC) have different fees structure. If you are a hostellite then you have to pay for hostel fees additionally.

Fees and Financial Aid

Medhabruti is provided by state government for the meritorious students. Eligible students can apply and get the benefit as Rs.10000/ year will be provided. SC/ST students have separate scholarship facility. You can get loan from near SBI and Syndicate Bank

Campus Life

2.5

They are good but not upto the mark. I will rate 6 on a scale of 10. Sports fest Illumina is the only platform to showcase your talent in sports which happens once in a year. Labs are maintained but not updated according to the requirements.

Alumni/Alumna

Hell, Big Yes. The only thing you can find best in our university is bonding of juniors and seniors. They are very helpful even after completing their courses. We get messages and calls from them frequently regarding personal issues and college. They share their experiences with us so that we can learn from them.

Admission

Appear Jee main, Get the jee main rank card, Then apply for the ojee councilling, Fill up your choice in ojee portal, Wait for the final list, Prepare all necessary documents like 10th& 12th certificate, income & resident certificate etc.

Faculty

2.5

They are helpful but not all. They are trained to teach you the subjects not the concepts behind it. Some exceptions are there but the numbers are very less. You can get the maximum benefit if you maintain a fruitful relationship with your faculties.

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

Course Curriculum Overview:

The pedagogy is excellent since majorly learning is through real-world case studies, reserach papers, peer discussions and interactive class activities. The professors provide materials and pre-reads at the starting of the term and the content is highly focussed on practical learning. The AI sessions are enriching. The difficulty level of exams vary among the instructors but usually is aligned with topics already taught.
