Remarks

College is below average. Facilities needs to improve a lot. Placements are also not upto the mark despite having 90%+ placement since most of the students get placed in less renowned companies. College mess is very poor and is not worth the the high hostel fee.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course curriculum focuses less on project based education. Marks structure consist of both internal and external mark where internal marks constitute 40% of the total marks and rest in external exam. Each sem in first 3 years has 6 subjects+ 2 labs each

Placement Experience

2.5

Placement and job opportunities: average. More than 90% of students are placed every year College provides training regarding placements However the training is not upto the mark. There is no stipend provided for the students

College Events

3

College days are held for 3 days every year. Out of three days, one day is inter college events. College events consist of both technical and non technical activities. However, college does not spend much money for such events. Apart from college days, there are many workshops held in colleges.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee is feasible in tuition fees only for students that get admitted via CET. Otherwise, it is expensive. Hostel fees are very expensive and it is not worth since the fees is not worth with the facilities provided. Living cost is less if the students opt to live in PG.

Fees and Financial Aid

Students belonging to Konkani cast recieve scholarship. Students who come under SNQ quota has very less fees(2000? for tuition fees), But for the students that come under general category, they do not receive neither scholarship nor loan facility.

Campus Life

2

There is less encouragement to extra curricular activities. They do not always give attendance when students go out to perform non technical activities. College do not provide much encouragement for sports activities. There few sports events held such as cricket league. However lab facility do not disappoint. However there are few cases where there are faults in computer components in CS labs.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are helpful. There is not signs of ragging in college. There is weak network of alumni. There is no specific alumni association held. But most of the passed out students that I know of are working in good companies.

Admission

1. Did my board exam during PUC 2. Given entrance exam. i.e, CET 3. I got 82% in board exam and rank of 14423 in CET exam 4. Came to know that I had rank under cutoff in Canara engineering college in the course i desired 5. Applied to Canara engineering college 6. Selected in first round 7. Went to college and went through all the required processes

Faculty

2.5

Average. They fail to make the subjects interesting. Less support on co curricular activities Less support for students when it comes to making projects However they are very supportive when it comes to academic related activities

Excellent placement training and reputed companies visit the campus. I had received offers from three companies which reflects the quality of opportunities available. Placement is one of the college's biggest strength. Student with no backlog and good academic records will get easily placed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The aspects like: we had 2 internal exams in the semester and after completing these internal exams roughly at the 5th month we had practical exam + end semester exams, these exams would be mainly theory based inclusing some conceptual based questions & based on our understanding only, we can able to write the answers. One thing, I would suggest was we shall give more weightage to the practical based learning, that too during our days we were just the beginning of AI & Iot era was effectively going on, if we had some advanced eductaion covering these aspects we would have got the opportunity to shine more in our carrers. As a student, we faced slight diffuclities and challenges matching the real-life happenings with the acdemics, that would be one of the shortcoming I can say.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the curriculum is well planned, balanced and easy to follow. We start with the basics and along with theory there's a good amount of coding practice, assignments, and hands on learning. I like that the course isn't just about passing exams, it also focuses on building skills that will be useful later for internships and placements. So far it feels relevant, practical and not overwhelming for someone who's just starting out.

The College was there for more than 10 years , but there was only Post graduate courses available , like M-tech , Msc , etc. The College for B-tech has started just before 2 years , there are no batches which has been output till now. The students are also waiting to see the batches to get output and see the placements taking place. As a student I am also eager about the campus placements.
