Course Curriculum Overview
As an Industrial design student, I feel the faculties try their best to expose the students to the industry. I feel the study materials required for industrial design can be increased. The dates of final semester exams should be given 2 months before the commencement of exam so that students staying in other states can book their tickets easily.
Internships Opportunities
Mostly good product base company is come for the placements are attached below link daal dena hoga hmara kaam krna padega so much of the above students during moments of my passions the above students during moments.
Placement Experience
Placements are good. 50 to 60 percent students get placements every year ( however most of them are from engineering department) New placement committee has been set up. Hoping for better placements of the design students.
Fees and Financial Aid
The accounts department is too strict. The department asks for next semester payment before the ongoing semester ends, as a result before we get to know whether our scholarship is still active or not we have to pay the entire semester fee. This leads to extra payment which gets adjusted in the next semester but with lots of difficulties. Its a request that they ask to pay only the amount excluding the scholarship before the semester result and then the rest amount can be paid later in case the scholarship gets cancelled.
Campus Life
Campus life is fun. The university organizes events on regular basis. Festivals are conducted. Concerts of renowned singers are conducted every year during freshers as well as fest. To sum up, campus life is good and lively.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is good. However, I feel the washrooms and rooms need renovation as they are too old. The quality of food is okay but can be improved more. Admission
I chose Chandigarh University because it was less expensive compared to other colleges both in north india as well as in south india. And also criterias like no. 1 private university and naac grade A++ added support to the decision.
Faculty
Faculty is highly knowledgeable and appreciable. They are industry experts and constantly work for the university. They provide constant support to the students. Exam is conducted semester wise. The difficulty level is high for both practical and theory exams. Computer-based tests are sometimes faulty.
Night Life
At night, campus looks calm and brightened with lights. Girls hostellers are allowed to stay out till 8p.m, while boys are allowed to stay out till 10p.m. Cafeterias. Fountain area and food republic are famous crowded spots.
