The J.B.Law College is a prestigious law institution in the north east. Students from entire North East comes to the college. So definitely there are positive remarks in the college. Yes,every students of our college admits that the fee structure is high.
Course Curriculum Overview
My course is B.A Ll.b (Hons) that is 5 years integrated course. After passing class 12 one can get admission in B.A.Ll.b(Hons) course via entrance exam.The course is professional course and in my opinion if you have interest in law then only choose the course as this course is for those who can learn new things and have interest to learn. The laws which we are learning are going to use in our professional line.So basically in 5 year integrated course,it includes 10 semesters. Each semester I have to appear semester final exam conducted by Gauhati University along with there are two nos of sessional exam in each semester.
Placement Experience
Yes, After completion of the course, everyone have opportunity to practice in the respective courts but have to pass the Bar council examination then only one can become an Advocate.And also can apply any legal advisor job in any company if you fulfill the requirements of that company.
College Events
There are numbers of events celebrates in our college. Like Saraswati Puja,College week,Freshers welcome program etc etc. All programs are conducted by the college student union body members elected by us.
Fee Structure And Facilities
In my opinion Fee structure is expensive. In every semester we have to pay ?14,300 for admission purpose. Then in each semester the fees of examination are varies.So in 5 Year B.A. Ll.b (hons) course,a student have to pay total amount ?143000 for admission purpose and ?30000(approximately) for examination fees of 10 nos semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes college provides scholarship to the needy students and also there are sime terms and conditions. The student must have good percent of marks in the previous examination and his/her family must belongs to BPL. Also minorities can avail scholarship from the central government as there are various schemes available.
Campus Life
In our college,we have a GYM centre which is open for all.Also have a moot court. And the moot court is for practical purposes.The students of the college can participate in the moor court and in various occasion there are some moot court programs conducted by college.Also we have computer lab in our college for practical purposes.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni of our college are very much helpful as they are practicing in various courts of the State so when we will passout from the college,we can get help from the seniors and they really helps.Many of our senior are in prestigious position in various department.
Admission
Firstly I had filled up the form of admission then the college conducted an entrance exam. More than 500 students appeared in the entrance exam. And only 120 students were selected and I am one of them. After the selection process the students were asked to submit all the documents and verify the original one.After verification of the documents,I had paid the fees which was almost ?20000 (approximate) including dress fee.

J.B.Law college is a prestigious law Institute in the North-East. It is situated in R.G.Baruah Road,Chandmari,Guwahati.The college have 5 years B.A LL.B (Hons) course,3 year LL.B/LL.B(Hons) as well as LL.M - 2 Year Post Graduation Programme.The selection procedure is based on entrance exam followedby merit list.The faculties of the college are very much reputable. All are well experienced and having Law degrees.
