Remarks

The college has a very free environment for the students which gives them the required freedom to expand upon their individual interests. This has a major positive effect on the students which does not put much pressure on them. The college does have a slight sexist mentality when it comes to providing women with the same freedom for their activities.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is favorable to many students although most would still prefer a more hands on experience for students. The time expended for theory classes could be substituted in part for more time in the labs or workshops.

Placement Experience

4

The placements are one of the most redeeming factors of the college. Because of its high reputation and acceptance rate of only students with high academic performance in their higher secondary education, the college manages to put out a very high academic performance each year. This results in many high paying companies to opt this college. The college also offers internships for those students who perform well. They can apply through the internship portal.

College Events

4.5

Because of it being a government college, the college has a students union which successfully conducts a lot of fests each year. The college provides an environment where the students can indulge numerous amounts of co-curricular activities which is not just limited to tech based but arts and cultural too. The college also boasts a large amount clubs which are focused on many areas.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very feasible, with the college charging only around 6 thousand per sem, and that is excluding the various scholarships that the students could get. Being a government college and because all students being selected on merit basis fee is of feasible amount.

Fees and Financial Aid

Students can get egrants scholarship wimhich gives an amount around 16 thousand to each student who applied. It's based on a cutoff of the students performance in school and their family's monthly income. There are also other scholarships for SC and such lower category students, provided by the college where their fee is conveniently reduced.

Campus Life

3.5

The college boasts a vast arsenal of extracurricular activities ranging from arts such as dance, music, or literature enthusiasts to political outreach for the students because of its accommodation of a student's union structure. The college also accommodates a commendable amounts of workshops for various branches which are well maintained. The college encourages sports such as cricket, football, table tennis, badminton, basketball, softball and volleyball which gets active participation from the students.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is very strong and well maintained in the college. The students can contact alumni through linked on profiles and receive very positive feedback in return. The college also has a Cetaa section which is a functioning part of the college supported by the alumni and which never fails to bring in a succefull alumni to talk to the students.

Admission

I had to write an entrance exam, KEAM, after which I was required to give the desired college for admission according to my results. After that the allotment results came which involved multiple allotments. I got into industrial engineering after the second allotment.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty are an amalgam of Individuals who look out for themselves and those that are dedicated to providing a very supportive environment for the students. The faculty although highly qualified are sometimes reluctant to sacrifice their time for students. This does not apply to all faculty exclusively.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
