There is no management quota or any kind of reservation , admission to bits is fully based on marks scored in BITSAT exam. There is dual program in which students are alloted M.Sc degree and at the end of 1st year based on their CGPA they are alloted single engg. degree and their course duration is of 5 year and they have to pay extra fee accordinly totaling to around 36,00,000. The overall experience is good and clubs are very vibrant and offers great senior jnior connections in terms of guidance and other aspects of life ,it makes the best place for students as clubs and departments are opportunities to explore new areas and find your interests.
The course curriculum as far as relevance is concerned is varying, the vareity of courses offered tie into a comprehensive package which equips students and helps them explore across various domains through dels ie discipline electives, opels ie open electives and huels ie humanities electives which are all an integral and necessary part of the degree completion. As far as my core subjects are concerned, it is updated and varying, depending on the instructor in-charge. The course concent is relevant and has real world aplications. In my opinion, lab credits for my specific degree should be improved to give more real- life aplications fo theory. Surprise evaluatiives should be limited in order to provide students flexibilty to explore across various domains. The difficulty level is moderate but grading should be improved, ie providing a B or 7 at average instead of C ie 6.
The faculty student ratio is 12-13 profs per department. Some faculty are approachable, whereas some are not very approachable, although faculty-student feedback is available 24*7. The typical course structure ranges from 10-15% for quizzes (witha buffer ie, n-1, some profs do not give buffers, ie avg of the number od quizzes conducted). For pharmacy, the lab takes up about 20-25% of the grade. Mid-semester examination is about 30-35% (1.5hr- written), the end semester examintaion is about 40-45% of the course total (3hr). One of the components of the course is supposed to be OPEN BOOK ie students can carry their notes, slides and book depending on the professor. This component is approximately 10-15% depending on the professor. Courses are flexible and mostly dependent on the professor in charge.
There are 3 fests held in a Year which are Oasis ( Cultural Fest) in Oct-Nov Apogee ( Tech fest) in Apr-March BOSM ( sports fest) in Sept A wide variety of books are available in the library ranging from educational to fictional and non fictional , all the course books and self help books are also there The sports culture is quite good and a large amount of students are a part of some or the other sports team . The sports facilities are also at a great level. There are a large number of clubs and departments run by the students in almost every field you can imagine
For the summer internships the student become eleigible to sit in the recruitment process for the summer internship from 5th semester onwards while for placements the students sit in the interviews from 7th semester onwards. Many big companies visit the campus like Google , Microsoft , Nvidia , BCG , McKinsey , JP morgan , Goldman Sachs, Tower research , imc trading etc. Highest package can be close to 1 Cr while average package is 25 lakhs Around 85% students get placed
Faculty to student ratio is low it is 15:1 , better than other colleges but still low faculty number . The faculty to student relationship is impressive .Faculties are very approchable . Tapomoy Guha Sarkar,Paritosh Shukla as well as RIshikesh Vaidya are very helpful and passionate teachers .Didnt like Biswanathan Layak for he s very unapproachable and is pathetic at explaining a concept to you .Apart from regular quizzes ( surprise or announced depends on the department ) there are mid terms and end terms . There is necessarily an open book section of 15 % in the course .The oveerall difficulty of the exams is high if the exam is easy the averages go high and due to relative grading the grading again become tough . Expect to study on avg 3 hours a day if you wish to get a CGPA above 8
There are three fests BOSM ( BITS Open Sports Meet ) for sports events and competitions , the cultural fest OASIS as well as the technical fest APOGEE . The fests are personally insane with artists like Anand Bhaskar Collective to Seedhe Mauth to Talwinder .Oasis is the biggest fests with a footfall of around 2000 people .The library has almost all the books you d need to gop through your course . Classrooms are in top notch quality and infrastructure wise . Student run clubs are the main attraction for me personally in BITS Pilani . All the fests are student run , the mess also is student run to a huge extent so consider 8 crores to manage .The college gives you a very good idea of how to handle finances .
yearly i paid approx 5000 rupees and this included all the charges like tuition fee, caution fee. etc. Our batchmates too paid the same amount of money but the students with the sc st quota had different fee structure. VBU offers a variety of scholarships to students, including merit scholarships, merit cum means scholarships for minority students and govt funded scholarships.
The faculty to student ratio was somewhat 1:8. The teaching faculty was very much understanding and they helped us throughout the course. They were very much knowledgeable and shared their valuable knowledge with us. Some of the faculty that i didnt like as they were rude and at the time of admission. The exams were somehow easy and almost all the students got passed
Curriculum prepared by the teachers does prepare us for the real world applications and it is also up to date. there are also many lab courses also where students can gain practical knowledge of the subject and the techniques used in the subject. frequency of the exam varies from the instructor of the course. Usually other than the mid semester and the final exam, there are quizzes, projects, and presentations during the entire semester.
Other than academics, there are many student run clubs that the students can participate in. There are also 3 fests held annually that attracts students from all over the country. these are the cultural fest, tech fest and sports fest. There are also meny opportunities available to people interested in startups and business.
Student and faculty ratio is quite well, tutorial classes have 30 students per class enhancing one on one interactions. Thermodynamics faculty: Prof. Manoj Soni and Chemistry faculties: Prof. Rajeev Sakhuja and Prof. Paritosh Shukla have excellent teaching abilities and deliver tough concepts with ease to all students Exams are divided into quizzes, assignments(in some subjects), midterm and comprehensive examination(endsem) Quizzes can be surprise or announced depending on the professor and are generally held throughout the semester. Exam difficulty keeps on increasing gradually as you proceed towards endsem. Open book examinations are especially tough in particular.
BITS hosts the biggest student run fest in Asia, OASIS after IIT Bombay. Apart from this cultural fest BOSM a sports fest as well as APOGEE a technical fest is also held in the span of an entire year. BITS library provides you access to a variety of foreign journals, books of famous authors and some fictional books and magazines too. Sports and extracurricular activities are top knotch. Their is a large variety of clubs, associations, departments which carry out tasks like running the fests, and participate in various projects.
The faculty at BITS Pilani (Pilani Campus) is well qualified, with all holding PhDs from reputed institutes from India and abroad. The faculty to student ration is reasonable and due to relatively smaller batches, professors are approachable. For all the courses, there is a mid semester exam and a comprehensive exam which has the most weighatge. Apart from these, there can be surprise/announced quizzes or assignments depending on the course and the professor. Grading is relative, and it's rare for many students to fail.

College is really nife in terms of infrastructure, placements, internships, faculty, canteen, etc. the fee would be worth it at the end. I would really like to recommend this college to those looking for bjmc, bba, bcom, ballb. Placements min package is 20000
They offer internships and placements both for every year student. Every year a special event is organised for both internships and placements and that too on different days. Which is fruitful. And the packages are also quite good
Teachers are very good, they are. Very strict about assignments notebooks homeworks. They have already planned schedule for a year properly Like which subjects needs more lecture more practicals No. Of teachers are managed properly
Faculty students roatio is 30:70 Specially there is a faculty named Kushal Lodha is very strict in class but very friendly outside the class he is a very good teacher. I personally don't have any understanding issues in his subject
The faculty is very nice. They are mostly approachable, highly educated and very efficient in teaching. Though the grading done by them is very bad. Average grade ranges from C to B minus, at max. Yasmeen Akhtar, Amit Setia, Prabal Paul, and Minhajul Sir in the maths department are excellent professors. Each semester has quizzes, midsem and then compres (end sems). Most courses have quiz 1 followed by mid sem, then quiz 2 and then finally end sem exam. Usually, quizzes have 20% weightage, midsem has 30 % weightage, and compre has 40%, with an additional 10% being given to either a surprise quiz or assignments or attendance.

However, students opting for the IBM specialization are required to pay an additional 15,000 bringing the overall fee for the course to 78,000. Part of the colleges are very good. The HOD is a well-known professor from IIM and is very knowledgeable and helpful brother. Other faculties for different subjects like HR, sales, finance and operations are also very good. They are all from the IIM and they have knowledge of the corporate world, so they help the students in every aspects. There are three semesters in a year which is known as trimester and every trimester we have to give an examination in the form of exam examination, which is of 60 marks and 40 marks are included in internals. course is a little bit fast. You have to pop up with the Face and there is a lot of things to get knowledge from you. Have a better library. You can go there and study on your own. You can have the assistance of the faculties. they are very helpful, and they're always ready to assist you.
The curriculum is very nice. You get different subjects in each Prime Minister to study and get knowledge about every aspects in the corporate world and how to deal and manage the situation and solve the problems you get to learn a lot of things I think the faculty should focus on students, self development and help them to prepare for GDNPI, which will at least help them to get a better placement in the college and stand in a better place in a corporate world. the exams are taken every 3 to 4 months in an anthem. There are three trimesters, including internals and examination. The age of 60 numbers and the internals are of 40 numbers which includes the assessments, presentations, class participation and all and the anthem examination is of 60 marks in which you have to give it in a pen and a paper.
