Is MMMUT B.Tech admission done through UPTAC?

No. MMMUT B.Tech admission is completely separate from UPTAC (Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling). MMMUT runs its own counselling at mmmut.admissions.nic.in on the NIC Samarth platform. Candidates who register for UPTAC are not eligible for MMMUT seats through that process.

What is the JEE Main cutoff for MMMUT CSE?

MMMUT does not publish a fixed cutoff. Allotment depends on JEE Main 2026 rank, category, and branch choice filled during counselling. MMMUT has 1,035 first-year B.Tech seats across 8 branches. Including TFW (5% supernumerary) and Other State (10% supernumerary) seats, the total effective intake is 1,189 seats. CSE is the largest branch with 292 total seats and ECE follows with 207 total seats.

Can candidates from other states apply for MMMUT B.Tech?

Yes. MMMUT reserves 10% supernumerary seats for candidates from states other than Uttar Pradesh. These seats are filled on JEE Main 2026 merit. UP domicile is not required for these seats. Candidates must apply through the MMMUT counselling portal separately for the other-state pool.

What is the TFW scheme at MMMUT and how do I apply?

The Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) scheme provides 5% supernumerary seats in each B.Tech branch. Candidates whose parents earn less than INR 8 lakh per year are eligible. No separate application is needed. GATE-qualified candidates admitted to MMMUT M.Tech also receive a monthly stipend as per AICTE norms.

Does MMMUT offer a management quota or direct B.Tech admission?

No. MMMUT is a state government university. It does not offer any management quota or institutional quota seats. All B.Tech admission is strictly merit-based through JEE Main 2026 scores via the MMMUT counselling portal. There is no direct admission route outside the counselling process.

What is the PhD URF fellowship at MMMUT?

MMMUT offers a University Research Fellowship (URF) of INR 18,000 per month for a duration of 3 years to selected PhD scholars. The fellowship is separate from any externally funded assistantship. A Direct PhD route also exists for B.Tech candidates with 75% aggregate, but only under the URF category.
