- It offers a great placement after the course completion, companies like microsoft, amazon google, flipkart and other companies like goldman sachs come to recruit new freshers in their companies and even offer internships as well.
- The fests conducted in our college are worth enjoying and marvelous talent is encouraged.
- No fees hike policy.cost to study is a bit high for a government organisation but it's worth it.scholarship opportunities financial assistance and job opportunities are very satisfactory over here.
Dislikes
- The scholarship availability should not be below 5 lakh.. it should be a larger number beacuse 5 lakh income is lower income than a lower middle class family.
- The faculty advisor is a very rude and strict person who doesn't understand the student's problems.
- Placements for lower branches are not that good and being a remote area more companies are not coming to college

I mostly looked for the Reputation of the institute mainly from the national ranking s, then I also consider the fees, the food at hostel was also a choice, the number of female in the college to not be left out

I had many seniors there and was also attracted to its ranking. The fees is comparatively low and also the new environment you get in drives you. The placement record and the alumni of the college is also very strong.

The reason i choose this institute is for its record in placements and alumnus. We have a big campus with huge facilities from banks to hospital all inside the college premises. The infrastructure of the college and city itself is lucrative with hills and all other natural beauty.

Ranked 16 for Engineering by NIRF.The average package is somewhere around 6-7 LPA. Coming to the campus life, the campus life is very good in NIT ROURKELA. The campus is very big with lots of trees, canteens, sorts complexes, badminton, tennis, basketball courts.

I choose this college as it is a very famous and good ranking college with good research and infrastructure. It is also located in good location and is cheap. The alumni group of the college is also active and it is one of the leading colleges of india which is leaving its print in the international world too.

Reputation, the college is owned by the government of India because of which the fees is very less compared to private institution and even if is reputed as a good college in India. Also the college placement is really good.

We all getting admitted in Prestigious NIT with decent branch is matter of pride for any student. And NITR has got its brand value throught out world.So i Choose NIT Rourkela. I also looked for placement curve and found amazing.

Good placement ratio. High NIRF ranking. Good atmosphere for all round development. Nice and big campus. Experienced and understanding faculties. All the course syllabus are made looking at what is must for us for our future i.e proper syllabus coverage.

A friend at NIT Rourkela gave me a detailed review of her college the last time she visited me. Here are some highlights from her descriptive experience
- NIT Rourkela has a huge, serene, and well-secured campus.
- The institute has diverse clubs that promote extracurricular activities and their performance is better than most clubs of other engineering colleges.
- Decent Internet speed is offered and the Dc++ is well maintained.
- The hostels are well-maintained and decked with all the basic amenities one could ask for.
- Students are actively involved in sports such as gymming and swimming.
- The faculties are a mixed bag. Some are underqualified and lethargic while some motivate you to become a better person.
- The institute boasts of an extensive entrepreneurship culture.
- The institute needs to work on increasing its alumni base and the level of fests it organizes given the huge income the institute generates.
- The placement scenario varies from branch to branch. It's decent for branches like CS while pathetic for others.
- Rourkela does not have any places to explore and also lacks flight connectivity.
- The city of Rourkela is one of the cleanest places so hygiene is not an issue here.
