Magadh University Gaya MA Home Science: Fees 2026, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

Ans. No entrance exam is required for admission to MA Home Science at Magadh University. Admission is based entirely on merit, determined by the aggregate marks secured in the qualifying Bachelor’s degree in Home Science or a related subject. The university publishes a merit list on its official website, and shortlisted candidates are called for document verification and enrollment.

Ans. The total fee for the 2-year MA Home Science programme is INR 11,740. This includes tuition of INR 8,240 spread across four semesters at INR 2,060 per semester, a one-time registration and development charge of INR 2,000 in the first semester, and a miscellaneous charge of INR 500 per semester from the second semester onward. The fee structure is among the lowest for PG programmes at state universities in Bihar.

Ans. Graduates can work as dieticians, nutrition counsellors, home science teachers at school and college level, food quality analysts, welfare officers in government departments, and community extension workers with NGOs or rural development programmes. The degree also qualifies holders to appear for the Bihar State Teacher Eligibility Test and other state competitive examinations that include home science as a subject.

Ans. Final-year graduation students may submit provisional applications for MA Home Science at Magadh University. Admission is confirmed only after the candidate produces the final mark sheet or passing certificate showing the required minimum aggregate percentage during document verification. Failure to provide the document by the notified deadline results in cancellation of the provisional seat.

Ans. Magadh University does not accept CUET-PG scores for MA Home Science admission.
