Panjab University Chandigarh Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Placement opportunity in UIET is really good for branches like CSE, IT, ECE and EEE. Top product based companies visit the campus for recruitment which includes Amazon, Goldman Sachs, American Express, Deloitte, Airtel, Samsung, etc, the list goes on. Even students from here have also cracked placements in Google and Microsoft. For last year, the highest package was 40 LPA and the average package was 6.9 LPA. And it's increasing year by year. If you have done at least anything productive in your 4 years, you will end up getting placed. For Mech and BioTech, it is not so good, as very few core companies visit on campus, mostly IT companies come here, but still, companies all branches to sit on campus for placements. So students from these branches to gets placements (mostly in IT companies themselves). Some students also prepare for exams like GATE and CAT, and many of them score well. The trend for placements goes like this: CSE=IT>=ECE>EEE>>MECH=BIOTECH.

I choose this course because I wanted to PhD in political science. There are many subjects in this course. In each subject 30-40 students. Exams are held on time. The exam is not too difficult to pass

I chose this course due to my immense interest in Computer science engineering. The faculty is pretty descent,if there are 50 students per class, number of faculty staff would be around 2.They were pretty descent qualified and teaching method was pretty appreciable.Exams used to occur almost with gap of 2 months and weren't very difficult.

The college has a Gym facility for the students. The college has a well-equipped library. Apart from textbooks, there are encyclopedias, research journals, magazines, and newspaper. It is the primary source of information for the scholars, teachers, and visitors of the college. the students are expected to make maximum use of the library. Recently, the college has purchased additional books like Encyclopedias, reference books, etc. to be used by the students, teachers, and guests. The college has sports facilities for all students. The college has a Wi-Fi facility for the students and staff.

3rd semester is good for students to eligible. There are more companies which are visiting here and gives big offers to students More than 80 percentage I want to become army officer. Which is best choice for me

I chose for law i.e., B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) 5 Years Integrated Course in Panjab University. This department is named as University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS) at Panjab University. The faculty members are super friendly, especially with the newcomers. They try to resolve every issue faced by students at their level. The average teacher student ratio is 1:60 as there are 360 seats for candidates applying for B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) and they are divided into two main streams, separate for Arts and Commerce students, then again got divided into sections. The medium of teaching is English. The term exams are held after every 5-6 months of period and are really not that hard but you have to struggle for good markings, obviously.

I have an interest in our history and culture that's why i opt for masters in history. Student faculty ratio is around 50:1. All faculties are phd doctorate and very knowledgeable. There was semester system of exams and there was also Mst exams . If you attend classes regularly, then there is nothing like difficult to pass in exams

We usually have internships drives from 5th semester . Many Companies start visiting the campus from 5th semester onwards. They take written exams and then a small interview and then finalize the candidate list who are shortlisted.Some of the companies also give PPO (Pre Placements Offers to the students.Companies like Microsoft , Amazon , TCS , Wipro and many more come to the college for placements. According to 2021 statistics 286 students were placed on campus with an average package of 7 LPA and the highest package being 31 LPA.Over 5 students bagged an annual package of INT 30 Lakh from Amazon .Top Recruiters included Amazon,Goldman & Sachs, American Express etc. A total of 50-65 companies visit the campus for placements. There are good placement records specially for CSE and IT branches.

Opted BCA being the technical course related to IT and my interest in it. 60 students in a section. In my section 10 girls 50 boys. Most of the teachers are well qualified with few M TECH degree holders, polite, soft-spoken. The first 2 semesters were online. In the 3 semesters, we have blended mode, as per student preference whether they want to attend classes online or offline. The syllabus is covered before final exams speedily. Exams were conducted as per the given date sheet by the colleges. Papers were mostly uploaded/provided 10 minutes prior. It was easier to pass it being conducted in online mode.

placements are awesome here being affiliated with Punjab university (tier -1) we have a decent placement in uiet chandigarh (CSE). companiers for providing internships start coming from 5th semester onwards. Companies visited are - Microsoft, Amazon,infosys ,bharti airtel, etc. Infosys provides 70+ offers as per recent records.
