Accepted Answer

JMI is a Minority Institution under Article 30(1) of the Constitution. JMI does not implement the 10% EWS reservation as it is exempt from that provision.

Accepted Answer

Yes. Students appearing in their final year bachelors degree examination are eligible to apply for JMI PG programs 2026. However, admission is provisional. Question 8

Is there a management quota or direct admission at JMI?

Accepted Answer

No. Jamia Millia Islamia is a Central Government University. It does not offer a management quota, NRI quota, or any form of direct paid admission. How does the internal (Jamia school) quota work?

Accepted Answer

JMI reserves 5% of seats in most programs for candidates who have studied in Jamias own schools (covering nursery through Class 12) or who are wards of JMI employees. These candidates must still appear in the relevant entrance test. Seats are allotted from the internal quota pool based on merit within that category. Candidates must submit valid school or employment proof at the time of document verification.

Candidates must bring original and self-attested copies of: Class 10 certificate, Class 12 marksheet and certificate, graduation marksheets (for PG), JEE Main/CUET/GATE scorecard (where applicable), JMI entrance test admit card, category certificate (Muslim minority, SC/ST, PwD, J&K domicile, Jamia internal as applicable), recent passport photographs, and Aadhaar card.
