Eligibility Criteria

• Master’s degree in Management, Business Administration, or a relevant social science discipline from a recognised university with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC/differently-abled candidates).
• Candidates holding a 4-year or 8-semester Bachelor’s degree with 75% marks (70% for reserved categories) are eligible to apply directly for PhD.
• UGC-NET/CSIR-NET/GATE qualified candidates are exempted from the written entrance test but must present a research proposal at the interview stage.

Admission Process

• Apply online at admission.jmi.ac.in during the notification window and pay the application fee of INR 2,000.
• Appear in the JMI PhD Entrance Test covering Research Methodology and Management Studies, or submit a NET/GATE scorecard for exemption from the written paper.
• Score minimum 50% in the entrance test (45% for reserved categories) to qualify for the interview stage.
• Submit the research proposal and attend the interview before the Centre for Management Studies Research Committee.
• Successful candidates complete provisional PhD registration with supervisor allocation at the Centre for Management Studies.
