Remarks :

After so many years down the line, dont think I have any negative remarks about the college. though there used to be complaints when we were young, as one would expect.

Admission :

The admission is through an entrance exam. During the early 90's ( I took admission in '91) there used to a scholastic test followed by an aptitude test for the college as it was deemed university. There were 65 seats for architecture and 20 seats for planning all over India. It was not centralised through NEET as it is now. The college had a great reputation and was one of the top three institutes for Architecture in India back then.

Remarks :

This the best college in India to study a bachelor course in Architecture. It is an autonomous institution managed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development of the Central Government. It has some of the best faculty members of the country and uses the best teaching methods.

Placement Experience :

I don't have much ideas about placement statistics because the placement cell has started to become active only in the last few years.

Remarks :

The college is a govt one. So the administration is a but slow. However the major management is carried by the student body, so it is efficient.

Admission :

I opted for architecture in order to contribute to the developing society and country. SPA DELHI is the best institution in India for this course. I appeared for the JEE paper 2 exam, and scored 99.8 percentile to secure a place in this prestigious institution.

Remarks :

Overall I'd say it's a pretty good college considering its much better than alot of colleges in Delhi and even though it's not perfect or anything to be impressed with. It still holds up as one of the best colleges in Delhi in my opinion.

Remarks :

The college management is good. Many people don't like that the college is so far from the city, but that's the case with many colleges that have big campuses.

Remarks :

Visiting faculties are Soo gud and they are gud aged people till 60years and have very gud in-depth knowledge and experience in practical field which is a plus point. Some departments are very good like transport having good staffs, but people are supposed to work beyond their limit. Some departments are too chill.

Remarks :

The rigor of the acamedics can often lead to unprecedented stress. There isn't any effort from the college to help students cope with this stress. A councillor was appointed for a only brief while. We don't find support among the faculty either. The student community is what helps us cope with the difficult life. The administration, as in most government institutions, is difficult to navigate. The good thing is that you don't have to deal with them directly. You will experience their inefficiency indirectly though. They will be in limelight for those who join the studens' council. Gear up for hell. If one is extremely sure about pursuing architecture, then the college provides one with enough opportunities. But one should truly ponder if one is cut out for it. This career is one that rewards those with patience. Though the financial compensation maybe be minimal immediately after graduation, a firm established after a few years of practice can open up avenues for great growth. It is incredibly rewarding to see one ideas transformed into habitable spaces. But these moments are few in comparison to the moments of struggle in the incipient stage of the career. The commercial pace of the industry will leave little time and effort to be spent on design and a disproportionately large chunk spent on production, which may not be as rewarding as spending a semester on one design as in college.
