The college has a placement cell. They invite MNCs in the college. Students get good package. But so many students start their own architectural firm. In internship college doesn't help much. We ourselves make our portfolio and look for internships.
No, the college doesn't provide us with any internship opportunities and anything for that matter, no firms come to recruit students. Whatever internship you want, you have to get on your own. The college does have good reputation though, so it wasn't as difficult.
Generally speaking there is no placement for architecture in most colleges, you are supposed to do a mandatory internship in your 4th year as a part of the curriculum, for which the college helps us in making the portifolio.
Internship is a must in certain departments and is a optional in some department which will happen after 1 year for the period of two months. Placement from good companies are there but in limited amount
We get to have internship in 8th semester as part of the curriculum which ranges from 4 to 8 months, which varies as per interest of intern, firm and work. We also have a placement cell. Some big companies do make it to SPA including Deloitte, EY, CBRE, EGIS, JLL but the average package would be about 5–6 L with the highest that I’ve heard about 10 LPA being offered by one of the Big Four.
In 2017, when I passed out of college we did not have a placement cell or an internship cell. Through our relationship with our seniors, we come to know of firms and apply directly. The industry perception as 'the best college in the country' holds for many. Some are more aware of eroding quality of education and faculty and do not trust the college brand. The alumni of the college mostly give us an interview in the least. An good portfolio could help get that dream job. Good internships may also covert into jobs post college. We had started work on placements while in college. Since we've passed out, there is now an active committee and placement procedure. Many MNCs and stand alone firms a...
We actually dont have much of placements and our average package is around 6-8 lakhs. The meritious students apply for different scholarships and get them. Our college recommends internships but doesnt provide.
The placement is very poor in SPA DELHI. There is supposed to be a placement cell, which is also mentioned in the official website of SPA, but it doesn't exist. Almost everyone will have to search for jobs themselves, or start their own firms. This is a very poor remark.
Internships are to be applied for by the students themselves. On campus placements happen mainly for the post graduation students. For undergrads the placement drive us organised by student representatives only.
Architecture is a course where placements are not really matters. If your acedmic's are good and your designing skills are up to mark then you can find job easily anywhere. Yes, college SPA D provides internship.
Thanks for your valuable feedback. Our team will look into it.
