GTU Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

In the Information Technology department, many companies are arriving for the students and also placing students from the campus. This year 50 companies are arriving and around 125 students are placed. Last year around 97 companies arrived.

The current syllabus is changed the there are a wide range of acopes relating to the syllabus which contain subjects for the students to innovate in a new way like Enterpreneurships & startups is a subjects in Computer Engineering in new syllabus. Also the Faculty is doing their best to get themselves with their new syllabus and give students what they wanted from a long time. Now students will be able to get more practical based knowledge rather than raw theory.

Placement is also good and in our college especially for the ECE course so many companies are listed. And also last year 2100000 was the highest package. Which is great and companies do have eligibility for sitting in the interview such as distinction pass and all that.

I want to prepare for the GATE examination so I chose this course in our college for every branch there are 8 to 10 faculties all have observed minimum qualification as Mtech all faculty should have passed the BPSC exam.

I chose this course because I like to study computer hardware and software. Faculty members are very nice and the curriculum is always perfect for any student to score high in the examination. There are two mid-exams and one University in the one semester of the diploma in computer.

I really do not have much reason about why I chose this course but I think this course has a higher amount of money without any physical work so I prefer it. About the ratio right now the number of students in this course is higher in my college compared to faculties. The teaching methods are good, I can't say it's the best but they are good. Exam systems are also better regular mid-terms and pre-exams are taken and the difficulty level of the papers is similar to final exams.

Here at Government engineering college, Patan there is 5 type of courses provided by different department for each course. Computer Science and Engineering course is best compared to other courses this college providing

In our college, We have some faculty members who are very helpful to students related to placement. They help many of our seniors to get jobs. They personly request the HR to conduct interviews in our college because 60 % of students get Placements.

from semester 6 students eligible for campus placements the multiple companies visited like the TCS package of 25lakh/y, torrent power,adani power, ThirdRock, Tatvsoft, Nxon, Techsture etc 70-80 students get placement from college in the computer stream my plan after getting my degree is to take the placement.

The course curriculum is based on the curriculum set by the Gujarat Techonogical University. Overall, the curriculum is very flexible for the students and various co-curricular activites also take place in the college. The faculy members are very helpful too. I chose the Information Technology branch because of its expected growth in the future and my interest in coding. There are 2 major exams in each semester: Mid-terms and Final University Exam. The mid terms are of 30 marks whereas the final exams are of 70 marks each.
