PDEU Latest Updates and News

Key Updates1
Other Updates2

16 Jul, 2026 PDEU Gujarat ACPC Cutoff 2026 has been released. Check round-wise PDEU Gujarat ACPC Cutoff 2026.

  • GUJCET Round 2 Cutoff Rank for BE/BTech is 1292-12161 (General Category).

PDEU Admission 2026 spans multiple routes depending on the programme, and seat allocation for B.Tech is split across three separate authorities:

  • B.Tech: JEE Main (All India quota) + ACPC Gujarat (state quota)
  • MBA/ M.Tech/ Law: separate entrance-based selection process

PDEU directly manages counselling for the All India and NRI seats, while the Gujarat state-quota seats are counselled entirely through ACPC, so a candidate's application path depends on which quota they're applying under, not just which exam they've taken.

Admission Update:
  • B.Tech 2026-27: Applications closed on 25 May 2026. The merit list was published on May 29, 2026
  • MBA 2026-28: Admissions concluded. GD, WAT, and PI were held in March 2026.
  • M.Tech 2026-27: Round II fee deadline was 3 July 2026. Semester commencement date to be declared.
  • B.Tech seat split: 60% All India via JEE Main, 25% ACPC Gujarat, 15% NRI/NRI Sponsored.
  • Reservation on All India seats: SC 15%, ST 7.5%, PH 3%, Defence 1%.
  • Application fee for B.Tech: INR 1,000 (All India category); INR 2,500 (NRI/NRI Sponsored).
  • MBA entrance minimum: 85th percentile in CAT, XAT, NMAT, or GMAT required to qualify for scholarship consideration.
  • M.Tech GATE stipend: INR 12,400 per month via AICTE PG Scholarship for GATE-qualified Phase I admits.
  • Law admission route: 75% seats via CLAT 2026 score; 25% via direct interview at PDEU School of Law.
PDEU Admission Portal 2026: admission.pdeu.ac.in

Direct Admission at PDEU: PDEU does not offer a management quota for any programme. All B. Tech, MBA, M.Tech, and Law seats are filled through merit-based counselling or entrance-based selection.

How do I get admission in PDPU?

Neha Rani
Tanya ShahB.Tech Petroleum Engineering, Pandit Deendayal Energy University, Gandhinagar (2020)

PDPU takes admission through JEE Mains merit rank. They have 50% seats for All India and 50% for Gujarat residents. Getting admission through All India and getting enrolled in a good branch is much easier than Gujarat seats.Students should have a 50% in their academic performance to be eligible for admission.

PDPU admission news comes in the leading newspapers, So you can get information from them or you visit the site frequently in order to get regular updates.

How many marks are required in JEE or GUJCET to get admission to PDPU Gandhinagar?

Arunima Sethi
Harsh SinghB.Tech from Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, Gandhinagar (2019)

The cut-off rank (or score) required for PDPU in JEE or GUJCET changes every year. The corresponding score and rank dependency is also different every year.

The expected cut-off ranks for PDPU from JEE Main are listed below.

Department

JEE Main Cut-off(expected)

Petroleum Engineering

<56000

Computer Engineering

<40000

Information and Communication Technology

<52000

Chemical Engineering

<65000

Mechanical Engineering

<60000

Electrical Engineering

<150000

Civil Engineering

<150000

Key highlights:

  • The score required varies on the overall performance and difficulty level of the question paper. One of my friends got admission in the Chemical Engineering branch with a 120 cutoff in JEE Main back in 2016. Chemical is among the fastest filling departments along with Petroleum and Computer Science.
  • For GUJCET candidates, a score of around 95 should be sufficient for PDPU. For SC/ST candidates, even 85 would do the same.
  • For JEE Main candidates, 130-150 is considered as a sufficient score for general students for getting the top branches in PDPU.

The above ranks and cut-offs are assumptions and can be considered as tentative values.
