NIT Hamirpur Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I was passionate about mechanical engineering. Although I was getting Computer Science, I chose Mechanical Engineering as my major. The faculty to student ratio is about 15:1. All the faculties are Doctorates and are from IITs as well as from foreign universities. Exams are conducted every semester .

The students start getting placed from the 7th semester of their course as company starts to arrive. For computer science, there are ample opportunities and there is the placement of almost 90% every year. The highest placement on campus can go up to 30-40 LPA where there are examples of off campus placement of nearby 70-80 LPA. The average package is somewhere around 4-5 LPA. I dropped the campus placement for my studies.

The training and placement cell at our institute executed the whole placement process in a systematic process. The prominent recruiters who took part in our campus recruitment function were such as Info Edge India, Accenture Pvt Ltd., BYJUs, HSBC, Infosys, Doubtful, Amazon, Invenio Business solution, Cape Gemini Pvt ltd., etc. The highest CTC of Rs. 4 LPA was offered at the time of our final placement program. I did not join any job because I had decided to prepare for the civil service exam.

After sixth semester of engineering students are eligible for the campus placements. There are lots of companies read out to the institute for the campus placements like Tata ,Maruti Suzuki ,Paytm ,Accenture and many more the average package is around 6 lpa and the highest package is around 14 lpa.

The college has a good placement committee with the help of the placement committee college can reach the record of 100% placement. The placement committee is very dedicated and the committee is fully responsible for all kinds of placement activities in the college. The placement committee fully works as the guiding force for us so that we can place in good company. The highest package for our batch was around 35 LPA and the average package was around 12 LPA. Around more than 75+ companies visited our campus for the placement round.

The college has a good placement record and the college provides good placement opportunities for the CSE program. The college placement committee is very dedicated and professional and they know how to attract market leaders for placement. The college committee helps us throughout the placement process and guides us so that we can get selected. The highest package for our batch was around 42 LPA and the average package was around 12 LPA. Companies like Infosys, Reliance Jio, IBM, Maruti Suzuki, Oracle, Adobe, Bloomberg, Amazon, Paytm, Samsung, Mathworks, Texas Instruments, etc visited the campus during the college placement drive.

As of now, I am in my second year. Our college gives placements as it is a government college with h hi placement. Companies visited like Google, Microsoft, Wipro, HCL, Bajaj, Maruti, TCS, Infosys, etc. The highest package is 10 crores per annum and the average package is 12 -15 lac per annum. As a student of grade, more than 8 get easily. As I want to do a job for experience and then want to do a startup.

We become eligible for placements in 6th semester, numerous companies come in our campus ranging from IT to core, approximately 100 companies visit every year, highest package was 1.5 Cr and lowest was 3.2 LPA, approximately 80-90 percent of students get placed every year

The placements start from 7th semester when everyone got elegible for placements, you may get PPO if you work hard in your internships (if get any). Around 60-70% of students placed everyone year with average package of around 5lpa.

Some students placed in 6 sem , otherwise most of students placed in 7,8th sem. Companies like samsung, Adobe,tcs,Infosys, wipro, Capgemini,maruti etc visited in our college for requirement. This year 5 students placed with package more than 1 crore per annum
