Remarks

As I first give exam of jee mains. I have studied so hard from previous so year that I got a good rank and also give advance but get less rank so joined nit, Hamirpur. Then I go dor admission and the work is so simple got seat un computer science well as after joined in hostels etc. I am now in my second year and very much happy.

Course Curriculum Overview

As I already have an interest in computer science I opted for it but it was not as easy as I was dreaming. I have to work hard. Examples are medium as not so hard but our teachers are so great. After this, I want to start my own company. Maximum all the faculty are Ph.D. or pre Ph.D. As term exams occur periodically.

Class Size: 127Course Fees: INR 750000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Yes, many internships are offered in the third year. As our students get offers from Microsoft TCS HCL Maruti Lexus Volvo indane spy bar Nike etc.As I do not know about projects. But the project as artificial intelligence mining magnetic appliance electric cars etc.

Placement Experience

As of now, I am in my second year. Our college gives placements as it is a government college with h hi placement. Companies visited like Google, Microsoft, Wipro, HCL, Bajaj, Maruti, TCS, Infosys, etc. The highest package is 10 crores per annum and the average package is 12 -15 lac per annum. As a student of grade, more than 8 get easily. As I want to do a job for experience and then want to do a startup.

Fees and Financial Aid

As I joined a government college so the fee is less compared to any other colledges about 7 lakh per year but the hostel cost is not included in it. As u am general I do not get any scholarship so I am not able to answer it.

Campus Life

Life is very good at the hostel as I already opted hostel from 6th class to 12th as I am in jnv so I have a little experience about that so get next about that. There are also great sports activities there.

Hostel Facilities

Really not good as there are fewer hostel seats some of the seats are not given to general. The registration process is simple. I did not rent a room. As if you do not get seats at hostels then you have to make room on rent it is very costly. The government has to do for this. It is very bad as not getting the living facility on the campus.

Lack of auditoriium so most of gathering will be in open air theatre

The campus really respects diversity. Students from different states and countries study together and that inclusion makes a big difference
The infrastructure and fab faculties are unmatched, for people dedicated to carrying out research, they have almost everything atvtheir disposal
Extra curricular activities make sure one is involved in multiple volunteery things rather than just academics

Dislikes

Relevant placement opportunities with good packages can be improved
The fee for courses could be regularised
Mode of exam conduction should be completely offline to ensure transparency

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in last semester. They can choose to sit in placements and select if they would like to join the company theyve been selected for. Eligible candidates do end up getting great packages

Campus is very good and nice view from college

Very slow wifi speen and only 1 gb per day

Course Curriculum Overview:

Updated to align with NEP-2020 guidelines starting from 2023 onward. CSE (AI & DS) branch includes modern subjects like Data Science, Machine Learning, Python, Cloud basics. Core branches (ECE, ME, EE, CE) follow standard Indian engineering frameworks with essential subjects. Syllabus similar to other govt engineering colleges under HP Tech University, so fairly up to date.

the fee structure are affordable for any one and hostel are also very cheap
they also help student to build cinfidence as many event are there so a person can loose his stage fear
the support of teacher for students is very good

Dislikes

i would say that the computer labs are not in very good conditions
the computer are not even advantageouos for aiml student
the infrastructre is not that good even no wifi facility

Placement Experience:

so as the first batch of cse ai ml is going to passout this year so there is no record of placement but hoping that their placement would be good as per teacher's expectations and also they provide intership in iit mandi

The faculty and staff are well qualified appx. all are phd .
The junior senior interaction is good .
There is good coding culture and all senior all helpful .

Dislikes

Area of college is 15 km from una city .
The curriculum us hectic in each semester it has atleast 6 subject.

Placement Experience:

My college offer above good placement . About 85-90% of the eligible student get placed with median package of 9 lakh and average of 11 lakh . Our placement incharge is Nistha Hooda. Highest placement is of 60 lakh and minimum is 4 lakh

Likes

Hostel fees is quite less despite providing many facilities.
Mess food is tasty and campus is small but clean and beautiful.
Curriculum is up-to-date. Teachers are helpful and friendly.

Dislikes

There are many unnecessary restrictions in hostel.
Sometimes you have too wait too long for food in mess.
Less events are organized and sports infrastructure is not too good.

Placement Experience:

Placements are average , it totally depends on the students skills and their cgpa. From 5th sem students become eligible for campus placements. TCS, Infosys, Redhat vistited the campus and made more than 200 offers. 171+ companies visited. Highest package is 1.11cr, average is 6lpa. 70% students gets placed. Planning to go in tech related jobs in industries after getting the degree.

I like the campus, there is greenery all over the campus.
Sports and cultural clubs and the festivals
very good wifi facility in the campus. And good gender ratio in institute

Dislikes

Climate is hot during summer. But winters are appreciable
Mess food is not good that much.. but we can eat.
Sometimes in hostel there is non availability of water . In bathrooms

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it has more scope in India as India is a developing country. It also has government jobs more than other fields. We can shift to it sector this is the flexibility of this course.

Everything about my college

When I was applying for engineering, I had filled applications for a few other NITs and state engineering colleges, but finally I chose NIT Hamirpur because of its good academic reputation, supportive campus environment, and better placement opportunities compared to the others. Some colleges I applied to had very high cutoffs and I couldn’t make it there because my JEE Main score was slightly lower than required, but NIT Hamirpur’s cutoff matched my rank, so I got admission here. The admission process was through JEE Main followed by JoSAA counseling, which is the most common and preferred route for B.Tech aspirants. The eligibility was 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and the cutoff for civil engineering here was comparatively achievable for me. The overall admission process was transparent and smooth, from registering for counseling to final seat allotment.
