- Placement and alumini: the institute has an immense alumini network along with the placement cell which attracts the top high paying companies ensuring good job opportunities for the students.it also enables research and further studies.
- I appreciate nitc's commitment to academic excellence, with a strong faculty and diverse range of courses that provide a well-rounded education.
- I like the cultural fests like festivals being celebrated here which is very nice .
Dislikes
- In nit calicut gym was not free we want pay for it this thing i really hatred
- Fees are very high when we compared to other nits nit calicut collecting more fees which becoming heavy burden to poor students like me they don't even giving concession most of the people are not getting scholarships
- Our hostels are too old and actually it is alloted for 3 people but they are keeping 4 people in a room wash rooms are also not so good.

Placements are good,from the 6th semester the students are eligible to sit for placements and there are many companies visiting campus like L&T, Tata project and Bajaj and highest package offered is around 65 lakhs and the average is around 14 lakhs and the percentage of students placed is around 90%

Placements are good the highest got last year was around 67 lakhs from the 6th semester the students are allowed to sit for placements in many MNCS like Google, Texas Instruments, Microsoft, and Nvidia and the average package are around 14 lakhs and the placement percentage is around 90%

Placement Experience:
As a student at NIT Calicut, the recent placement was quite alright. The highest package was INR 47 LPA, but it also highlighted the vast disparities among students. The overall average package of INR 14.29 LPA might seem decent, but many of my peers struggled to secure satisfying job offers.
As a Computer Science and Engineering student, the average package of INR 22.03 LPA may sound good on paper, but the job market is competitive, and landing a high-paying job is no guarantee. Many of us are burdened with the pressure to perform exceptionally and stand out in a crowded field.

- Campus Life - Institute offers a full complete campus life with every single joyful activity & fests are like butter on bread in it.
- Campus placements - The placements offered provides a full complete & independent career options in future.
- Library - I myself find library the best place to sit, study and think.

- Language barrier - If you are a non-malayali guy, then you might find some difficulties in communicating to people outside the campus.

Placement Experience:
Institute has a very decent campus placement with an average package of 14.29 LPA. Every student who has completed their 3rd year successfully becomes eligible for campus placements. And the students who have completed their second year successfully are eligible for internships. The institute has a placement percentage of 95.45%. 756 offers were given to UG students out of 792 students registered.

Placement Experience:
The placement starts from the 7th semester onwards. A minimum CGPA requirement is asked for by some companies. TATA and BAJAJ offered company placement the previous year Goldman Sachs offered internships this year The percentage of students differs according to the branches. Computer science has 100% placement. But, In lower branches like biotechnology has no branch placements. I'm planning to go aboard for MS.

- Cross culture interaction makes a young bright mind to develop good communication skills
- Fests like Ragam and Tathva completely makes the monotonous life of a student more energetic
- Faculties and staffs are very polite and helpful. They are always ready to help a student to grow in his/her academics.
Dislikes
- Sometimes you will fell enormous academic pressure which i felt quite tough to handle.
- Syllabus is too much and also following old syllabus. Need to update and learn something new.
Placement Experience:
NITC do provide placements talking about 2021-2022 about 193 companies visited the Institute and around 1000+ students got placed
The highest package was 63LPA from the CSE department whereas the average was 8 LPA
Companies like DE Shaw, Amazon, Visa, Goldman Sachs, etc do visit.
As of now plan after getting my degree is to go for campus placement

- Social life is good. People here are cheerful and supportive.
- Nice platform to learn and build your career.
- Peaceful and very close to nature. No distractions.
Placement Experience:
From seventh semester students can participate in placement drive. Many companies had visited this year. Companies like BPCL, HPCL, Maruti, Vedanta, Exonnmobil, Deloitte, Oracle, Accenture and many others have hired a good number of students. I assume the average package is 18lpa overall and the highest in Chemical engineering is 14lpa (from Vedanta). Technically 26lpa is the highest in our class (Software stream). More than 50% of the students are placed before the end of seventh semester.

- Placements are very good here with a very decent package.
- Teaching and the equipments in the labs arevery good.
- Hostels are very good with a good transportation facility.
Dislikes
- Transportation is not present in the weekend.
- Sometimes there are some water problems in the hostel.
- Most of the Students speak in malyalam and becomes difficult to interact with them.

From the fifth semester onwards the students are eligible for campus placements. Many companies give good jobs to students with a very decent package. The highest package is 64 LPA and the lowest is 5 LPA. Almost 90% of the students get placed.

- College is very pleasant for studying and the placements are also good here..
- Sports are also encouraged and inter department competitions are also held
- Hostels facilities are very good here and transportation is also good.
Dislikes
- Sometimes water problems occur in the hostels
- First year students are restricted to go out of hostel after 8PM
- No transportation facilities in the campus in the weekend

- I liked our college fests and clubs . Thee are many clubs like street play dance many more.
- Placement offers are quite good. average package is of 8lpa to 10lpa . The highest package offered in our branch is 25 lpa in core related job.

- There are no issues like disliking .the only issue is staying away from the parents
Placement Experience:
From the third year onwards students are eligible for internships and placements. There are plenty of companies that visited our campus like cognizant Infosys, Amazon, Accenture, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, etc. Almost all students get placed in the placements .some even get placed while they are in the internship.

My sister completed her B.Tech from NIT Calicut a few years back. As a female student, she had a bitter experience at this college. Here are some of the things that she noticed during her stay at NIT Calicut-
- The girls hostel is very strict regarding outings. There is a fixed curfew from 7 pm to 6 am. Even for staying on campus after 7 pm, special permission is required.
- There are instances where you might encounter racism in the most casual manner, this is especially true for North Indian students.
- The hostel and college staff are blatantly partial towards female students and those who complain are told to leave the college.
- There is a system of daily roll call for female hostellers, which is again a gender-biased rule. The Resident Tutors are not supportive or helpful and may scold you for not attending the roll call even if you are new and not well aware of the hostel procedures.
- During LAN work or other repairs, no female attendee is present with the male workers within the girls hostel premises. The girls are expected to follow all the precautionary measures and no strict rules are laid for the male workers.
NIT Calicut is an institute of national importance with an excellent reputation and great placement records. However, as a female hosteller, my sister faced these obstacles which caused unnecessary frustration for her.
