Mumbai University Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Mostly for placement companies like Hindustan Unilever, Nestle, Cadbury, Citi bank is coming for students The average placement is 83% in college. After my degree, I will do some business for getting growth in my career.

From the fifth semester, students become eligible for the campus placements, the placements are few, about only 50% gets selected which IMO is not very, though teachers do help students in off campus placement. After completing graduation I am planning to pursue MCA.

Students become eligible for placements in the last semester of the Programme. 70 to 80 percent of the students get placed every year from the department while others opt for master's programs or make their way abroad for further studies. My plans after getting a degree were to go for a Masters's degree and then Ph.D.

Due to the pandemic, for the 2020-2021 batch not as many companies could visit as last to last year. Out of eligible only 55% students were placed. However, the maximum package offered increased to 30 LPA this year. 2.4 LPA and 4.5 LPA were the minimum and average packages offered for Computers and IT departments. Mu Sigma offered great packages and almost 10 students got placed with packages of 12LPA. Work Applications from Japan offered 30 LPA, higher than previous years' 21 LPA.

The placement of the college was good, however, I got placed from outside my college. The average package for fresher starts from 1.8L to 2.5L pa. There is a small percentage of students opting for college placement for personal reasons.

Biotechnology is better than plain bsc as well as have good job opportunities. 60 seats were there for students and 4 to 5 teachers are there. Weekly once guests lecture is there. Faculty members are highly qualified most of them are PhD holders. Teaching is understandable and interactive. Term exams were held by a gap of 4 to 5 months. Nothing to worry about exam it is not that difficult to pass.

From Sem 1 we are given training, practise Group Discussion round by Placement Team. Coding is encouraged in students since sem 1. An idea of how the placement company round works is given since starting. We have a placement Training session as well. LTI, Zues Learning, BYJUs and many more companies come to the college with a good package.

I opted for Microbiology, as in the evolving world I feel microbiology is going to be a great field to do your graduation as we can even see in the corona time, the microbiologists played a very important role. I would advise it's a great field and will bring a great scope in the coming years. Basically, we have approx 15 faculty members, every faculty member has their individual expertise to teach a particular paper. Most of our lecturers are PhD while few have done their Masters in Microbiology ...As they all are very experienced they have a great teaching technique and is understandable and effective. With the support of teachers it becomes very easy to pass the term exams, they are extremely supportive.

Campus placements records at TCET are higher than any other private colleges in Mumbai. The percentage of placement is 95-96%. Majority of which comes from the Computer Science, IT and Electronics and Telecommunication departments. Civil and Mechanical departments too have a great placement record, although they are a bit less than the other departments. The number of companies visiting the campus per year is somewhere around 55-60. The list includes all the categories of companies, i.e. huge IT giants to medium scaled companies. The highest offered package is 21 LPA, by MuSigma Pvt Ltd. The second highest is 15 LPA by Amazon. And then we have an average of 6-10 LPA by Capgemini, Accenture, Seclore, Cognizant, IBM, Oracle, etc. So yeah, it is definitely the best place to be in!

From 5th semester. The highest package is 27000 which is decent for BCom graduate students. The average is 20,000 which is decent for BCom graduates. Average 75% getting placements. After my BCom degree, I am option master and ca and other financial marketing degrees.
