- Strong faculty: vssut is reputed for its experienced faculty members who are often experts in their respective fields.
- The college also organises fest which also is a good source of enjoyment and bliss.
- Campus employment opportunities are quite good.vssut provide internship opportunities along with good support from professors also.scholarship facilities are also provided for reserved castes and for general category also who are eligible.
Dislikes
- Hostel facilities are not so good and the food is also of low quality which is very difficult to eat.
- The hostel and mess. there is corruption in the mess. the mess secretaries are given money to stop students for complaining.
- The conditions of mess and hostel have been worse and it's been degrading day by day. this could have been better.

Students are eligible for the campus in the 6th semester. Top Indian companies like Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Jindal, Tata Steel, and many more came for the campus. The highest package was 9 lakhs made by Tata Steel. 99% of students got placed. I had 3 jobs.

Placement Experience:
Students from the 7th semester are eligible for placements. If you are in a top branch like Cse or IT, you should be able to bag a decent package.
Companies like IBM, Delloite, Infosys, wipro, etc visit our campus for recruitment. On campus highest packages range around 10 LPA and the average package around 5 LPA. Around 70% of the students get placed.

The highest is 12 to 15 LPA with avg of 5 to7 LPA.

From the seventh semester, students are eligible for placements.Many companies like Deloitte,TCS, Infosys,Google, Microsoft,Paytm etc. Came for palcements. Around 87% students got placed.I did not sit for placements because i want to opt for higher studies.

Based on my Gate score, I opted this college. Since my requirement was a core branch and my future objective was to pursue a PhD so I went for this college where we had the flexibility to work on our domain with regular stipend from AICTE for Gate qualified students.

There are a different kind of companies came to our college such as Suzuki, Infosys, Vedantu, Rourkela steel plant, Mahindra, Samsung etc.
60 percent of students getting placements in our college campus selection.

A reputed government institution.Comes in top 5 among the state.Has high education facilities.Nature's beauty on top.Bad or actually lagging is that I don't know Sambalpuri. That might develop communication gap between others. Being a belonging of Odisha it is the best place to get my degree.

3rd-semester students are eligible for campus selection.
Many software companies came to our university such as Samsung, Wipro, Havells, Schinders, Infosys, LG.
70 percent of students getting placements in our university.
After completing the bachelor of technology degree I want to study master in bachelor of technology in nit and IIT.

Course Curriculum Overview:
Because I love Electrical Instruments. So I have chosen Electrical Engineering. Faculties are a very good quality of teaching experience. And all facilities have MTech PhD from IIT. The teaching of our faculties is awesome. There are four exams in a year. These are two internal and two end semesters.

Placement Experience:
From 6th sem students eligible for pre placement. Infosys, Tata Steel, TATA BSL, Vedanta, Maruti, Jindal steel, Deloitte, L&T are a few which offer more than 6lkh CTC .and more than 20-30 companies are there but not remember all the names. Highest package near 10-12lkh. Lowest 2.8lakh-3.2 lakh. But this yr Amazon also hired 2-3 students but don't know the package. I will be going to do something in the finance sector.

Here is a detailed review of the Electrical Engineering Department of VSSUT Burla based on my friend experience who is an alumnus of the same
- VSSUT is among the top colleges in the state and Electrical Engineering is one of the best branches.
- The branch offers a tremendous learning scope with decent lab facilities.
- The branch has a decent number of permanent faculty.
- VSSUT placement scenario however is not that good although it’s better compared to other top colleges in the state.
- The M.Tech students are asked to supervise labs which isn’t a good practice because they are mostly fresh out of engineering colleges and lack expectations
Electrical Engineering from VSSUT is a good choice if you are interested in the field and are willing to invest extra effort in your studies.
