VSSUT, B.Tech, Electrical Engineering

Reviewed on Jul 18, 2021(Enrolled 2019)

Remarks

College of engineering and technology, IGIT Sarang, NIT Rourkela, IIIT Bhubaneswar. I think VSSUT is better in mechanical so I preferred VSSUT. I didn't avail any quota for admission. For admission in VSSUT, you have to clear JEE Main with under 1 lack rank age should be above 18 years. The admission process is under OJEE counselling under the Odisha government. The admission is very easy and the staff are very good.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Because I love Electrical Instruments. So I have chosen Electrical Engineering. Faculties are a very good quality of teaching experience. And all facilities have MTech PhD from IIT. The teaching of our faculties is awesome. There are four exams in a year. These are two internal and two end semesters.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 41000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee of BTech Electrical Engineering is around 85000. The cost of the study is 41000. The hostel fee is 28000. And the university fee is 16000. I have a scholarship for securing good marks in mathematics in the 12th class. I have got a campus job at Wipro technologies.

Campus Life

4.5

VSSUANT is our annual fest and is conducted in January every month of the year. Samavesh is our tech fest and is conducted in October in the month of every year. All engineering books are available in our library. Our classrooms are of good quality and have AC classrooms. Alumina is our sports fest and there are different kinds of sports are conducted in our Illumina fest There are so many clubs in our college Soul Club, Sae Club, Emotica Club, Vibrant Club.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

All are ac classroom with projector. The hostel is very good with dining facility and meal are better. Veg and non-veg are included in menu. At the time of counselling, we have to Click the yes on the hostel button. In Burla, Kirba square, we can stay as PG.

Hostel Fee: INR 28000 per year

Decent faculty and top tier placements, just follow the rules

Likes

I like the vibe of the canteen and greenery around my college

Dislikes

I don't like 75% attendance and the strictness of the faculty members

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

The infrastructure of each campus in the college is very pretty and it's a green campus
The classrooms are well equipped with WiFi, Smart-boards for digital education.
Also travelling from one campus to another has been made easier as buses and golf carts are provided to students

Dislikes

The crowd of students here is too much which feels too much chaotic and disturbing .
The hostel management here as they don't give importance to the major issues here.
The hostel mess food. The quality is degrading day by day

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is good. This year 75% of the students are already placed with an average package of 8LPA . The highest package till now for this year is 22LPA. Many companies have visited for the placements and 100+ offers have been made. Companies like BNY, Infosys, Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Bain& Company, High Radius, TCS, EY, PWC and many more of them have visited the campus.

Likes

The college campus greenery and campus cleaning management are doing really very well that is the only good part but that doesn't matter much for your career.
⭐⭐There is nothing good to mention about this college after going through all the procedures from taking admission to degree,I regret and many of my friends also regretting taking admission into this college.⭐⭐

Dislikes

They have a good well maintained cricket ground but students are never allowed there only for commercial purposes and to attract new joinee.
Staff and management are very helpful and polite only till admission done.🥲.
Hostel food quality is extremely unhigenic, no one takes responsibility after many complaints also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was very classical , too much theory oriented for placement point of view they will provide last 1 month or 2 months training for aptitude part rest for technical you have to study on your own.

Buckle up Journey in Vssut

I have applied to only Outr(formerly Cet Bhubaneswar). I have applied on the technical branches, but got none of them as my rank was around 152000. As Cet is not very good for its core branches, so I preferred Vssut over it. To get technical branches in cet bhubaneswar your rank should be under 50000 in Jee mains. The admission process is through the OJEE COUNSELLING. It is the counselling only for the students of odisha and anyone out of Odisha appearing the OJEE examination. The eligibility of our college is 45 percent. The admission process is quite hassle free. As once you got the seat in ojee counselling....Read More

I applied for outr Bhubaneswar and vssut burla. I was getting electrical branches in both the colleges. But in outr there are not enough hostels for student neither the campus is that much attracting. O the other hand vssut have total 11 hostel and can accommodate every student studying and the campus is also somewhat good. But for csit branches there are not enough facilities in vssut To get admission here you have to get a rank in jee main exam and have to go through ojee counselling. To get to cse branch your all India rank must be within 1lakhs and for electrical branch its about 1.5lakhs and for lower branches production rank does not matter that must there are seats pending vacant you can get them via spot counselling...Read More
