I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University Jalandhar Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Second last or last sem students get placed in very good companies like Amazon, Wipro, etc. In my course, the highest package is going up to 12 lac Per annum and the lowest is 3.5 lac per annum. Almost 85% of students placed every year. My plan is also to take a good placement and after a few years, I want to do something for myself like doing my own business.

An EE can be placed anywhere and is eligible to sit in any company's placement drives. That's why I chose EE as my branch. My interest was in IT but due to competition and unavailability of seats, I chose this wonderful alternative. The suggested improvement can be the college staff in our department is slightly more than the needed staff. So, maybe the no. Teachers should be taken into account for needs. Teachers should get periodic training to develop their skills. The college organizes Various Youth fests, Science fests, and Sports Tournaments throughout the year.

After the 2nd semester, you become eligible to be placed in a well-reputed company. During our placement drive, a few companies that came to our campus were Ford, Paul Merchants, etc. The highest package was 7 LPA & lowest package was 2.5.

I heard a lot about this college as this is the best college in north India for placement, which is true also, but not for mechanical. Only CS and ECE students get placed during campus placement, but wait, it's not that easy as the placement is done along with students of C.G.C Jhanjeri and Chandigarh University. So for every job, there are hundreds of students competing. Placement cells are very friendly and they help a lot during placement time and grooming sessions.

From the 3rd semester, companies start approaching the college and the college starts the placements. Almost all active students have been placed. Many large corporations come to the college for placements. There are not much internship opportunities though.

In the 7th semester, students are eligible for campus selection. The names of the companies are Mahindra, Sonalika, Wipro, etc. The percentage of students who are placed is approximately 80%. My plan after my degree is to get a job.

I choose this course because I want to do some changes in the agriculture field. The faculty of this course are very hard working and punctual. When you came here first they introduced themselves and they ask for say any problem regarding the course, college, hostel, etc. They are very good and friendly to students. The faculty are very qualified some are IITians. Their teaching method is awesome and practical.

Last semester students are more eligible for the campus placement 120000 is the highest package and 400000 is the lowest package given by the college more than 50 percent of students get the campus placement.

6th-semester students are eligible to do further placements or internships. Percentages are not considered. Placements are interview-based if our interview is good and we are selected then we become do placements. Amazon, Flipkart, telecom, indigo, etc offered many companies for doing placements. They organize employees to do anything that they want to.
