I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University offers B.Tech. Degree course in five specializations, B.Pharm. Degree and Lateral Degree course, B.Tech. Lateral degree course in 5 specializations, and B.Arch degree course at undergraduate level.

For admission in B.Tech, candidate must have passed 10+2 in science stream with minimum 50% marks. Admission to B.Arch is done on the basis of NATA entrance exam. For B.Arch., candidate must pass 10+2 examination with mathematics as subject and minimum 50% marks.

Admission to B.Tech is done on the basis of JEE Main entrance exam. For BTech (Lateral), candidate must have passed Diploma or B.Sc. with atleast 45% marks from recognized university. For B.Pharm, candidate must pass Diploma or 10+2 examination with Physics & Chemistry as compulsory subjects.

Admission to B.Pharma (Lateral) is done on the basis of Diploma in Pharmacy with atleast 45% marks.

For BTech & B.Pharm (Lateral) program, admission is done on the basis of direct admission.

Applicants who will clear the cut-off score set by the Punjab Technical University are called for the counselling process.

I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University offers MBA, M.Tech in 4 specializations, M.Sc. in 4 specializations, MCA, MCA (Lateral), M.A., and M.Arch. Degree courses at postgraduate level.

Candidates who wish to pursue M.Tech degree courses should have a B.E. or B.Tech. Degree in appropriate branch or equivalent with not less than 50% marks.

Candidates must be a graduate (10+2+3) from any discipline with minimum 50% or above in aggregate marks to be eligible for MBA, MCA, and MCA (Lateral) program.

For M.Arch, M.A, and M.Sc. courses, candidates must have B.Arch, B.A., and B.Sc. degree in the appropriate branch with minimum 50% or above in aggregate marks.

Selection of candidates for M.Tech courses is done on the basis of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering(GATE)/CET conducted by the University.  Selection of candidates for MBA courses will be on the basis of CMAT scores.

For M.Pharm, candidate must pass in B.Pharm with atleast 55% marks from a recognized university. Admission to the courses is done on the basis of GPAT scores.

Admission to M.Sc. is done on the basis of exam and personal interview conducted by the university, while to MA is done on the basis of Personal Interview.

The merit list will be prepared for based on candidates marks in the entrance examination. Candidates who clear the cut-off score will be called for the admission process. Counselling will be conducted by the University and Candidates who clear the cut-off score will be called to complete the admission process.

Candidates should have a master’s degree in a relevant discipline or an equivalent qualification with a minimum aggregate of 60% or equivalent CGPA of any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India to be eligible to apply for M.E. (Research) and Ph.D. program.

Selection is done on the basis of previous academic records, Synopsis and the personal interview conducted by the University.
