I have done BBA so this is the next step available to me. Faculty: student ratio is quite good in the college we have faculties for every course and also sometimes do have guest faculties or have a guest session in the class for a particular subject or a topic. Many of the teachers are highly qualified and have great knowledge about lots of different aspects of the courses and but somehow not able to deliver that knowledge to students and here I would blame the online scenario. There are mid and end-term exams that happened after every 1.5 months in a trimester. The exams are quite decent.
Good - The college is student-driven which makes students gain lots of learning of teamwork, relationship management while handling different clubs and committees for the college. Bad - The lacking point is the administration part of the college. Admission Process - The process is quite simplified after giving CAT exam according to the percentile one will be shortlisted for the next stage i.e., interview process CAP( Common Admission Process) for all new and baby IIM's and after that final merit list is published and accordingly students procure the seats of their dream IIM. Reason - This was the best college among the other college seats I have been offered to. I used InsideIIM blogs to look into the culture of this college and how feasible it would be for me.
IIM Kashipur is the top Business school in Uttrakhand and has excellent placement record. The admission process starts from the month of June and July. The campus is built with state-of-art infrastructure and aspires to achieve excellence in management education by using innovative teaching methods, promoting high quality research and practicing sustainable leadership.
The personal interview is very difficult to clear. All the questions were related political India, Economy, General Knowledge and various other topics. The admission committee evaluates the composite score for each candidate and then offer admission on the basis of CAT score, gender diversity, work experience and past academic records.
Good: Leading B-school across India for providing world class education and 100% placements opportunities, Highly Qualified and Esteemed Faculties, Sustainable Environment and Wonderful Campus Lifestyle. Bad: Peer pressures during Exams and Placements. Admission: admissions is based on the weightage of various factors such as scores obtained in graduation, CAT Scores, Personal Interview round, Scores obtained in class 10 and 12, Work experience, academic diversity, gender diversity, etc.
Personal interview is an important criteria for the selection of the students that helps in determining the student's decision making and analytical abilities. Questions asked are related to Work experience, General Awareness, General Question, etc such as What is global warming? Why MBA? How has been your previous work experience? What is GDP? The interview is conducted for 20 to 30 minutes.

I chose IIM Kashipur due to its brand name and reputation and the opportunities it has to offer to any student who desires to pursue an MBA. One of the key element which attracted me to chose IIM Kashipur is its placement opportunities and its ranking in India in the Best B Schools. Admission into IIM Kashipur is based on the entrance score of CAT, Previous Academic Performance, GD-PI. The selection process of IIM Kashipur starts in the month of Feb-March.
IIM-Kashipur placements are eye-catching as international packages are also made for the students. The highest International package recorded when I passed out was Rs. 53 Lakhs while the highest CTC offer within the national borders was Rs 45 Lakhs. The average CTC package a student expected was approximately Rs. 12 to 13 Lakhs. Around 227 students got placed and 252 offers were made during my PG session of 2018-20. The topmost companies that bagged students were Byju's, HDFC Bank, Infosys, TATA, L&T, etc.
IIM Kashipur is full of life and learning-by-doing. The college is very good for pursuing MBA as it provides knowledge as well as overall development in one place only. The admission process is through the CAT entrance exam. The score obtained in the exam is used for determining whether we have cleared the qualifying cutoff marks or not. I did not prefer other colleges as this B-school possesses everything an MBA pursuer aspires for. It has an amazing environment where students are friendly and cordial with each other, has fun, and also learn new skills together. The institute is co-ed.
IIM-Kashipur offers adequate opportunities through placement packages. In my batch of 2018-20, there were 218 job offers were made to around 194 seekers. In the same year, as many as 72 companies visited the institute for the recruitment process. During the visit, the highest CTC package offered was INR 28 LPA. With this, the average salary package came around INR 12.17 LPA. Most of the students were placed in the Sales & Marketing field. The topmost companies include HDFC Bank, Byju's, Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance, Hero Motocorp, ICICI Bank, Oyo, Godrej, Infosys, etc.
IIM Kashipur is underrated though, but experiencing 2 years at this B-school was amazing. It changed my mind about the Institute. The level of the Institue in every dimension is above par. It is a perfect blend of extraordinary social life and experiential learning. The encouragement received from the staff makes this institute more pleasant and attractive. With a decent CAT score, IIM-Kashipur is undoubtedly a go-to option for an MBA aspirant.
Placement at IIM Kashipur is undoubtedly a remarkable feature of the institute. The institute provides placement opportunities from Indian and overseas companies with great packages. Highest Annual CTC for our batch is recorded at INR 45 Lakhs from the domestic companies, whereas overseas companies offered the highest annual CTC at INR 48 Lakhs. Most of the offers were made from IT companies like Infosys, Mphasis, India Mart, Novozymes, Mindtree, and many more.
IIM Kashipur has great management programs and research programs in it. The placement record for this institute stands at par with the other IIMs in India. The two-year flagship program at IIM Kashipur is designed to make future leaders with modern teaching techniques and real lie exposure to leading industries. The admission process starts from the month of May-June and the academic calendar for a fresh session starts from July every year.
My primary reason for selecting this college was the fact that, out of all the IIM programs I received interview calls from after the CAT result declaration, this one had a syllabus I liked and was affordable. I do not have much work experience as I am joining MBA fresh out of graduation, and IIM Kashipur was easier to get into than some of the top-ranking ones, though most of my peers here are actually much older than me and have significant work experience.
The placement team at IIM Kashipur is very active and every year they bring in more companies with high offers. My senior batch saw an average salary of INR 13,82,000 in their final placements. 108 companies participated in the summer placements for my batch, with the highest offer being a stipend of INR 3,15,000. I bagged an internship at TATA Steel, which was a general management position with a stipend of 80,000.
