- Additionally, the institution recognizes the importance of supporting students financially and offers various avenues for scholarships, financial assistance, and campus employment opportunities.
- Faculties are highly experienced with great knowledge and some of them have good teaching and mentorship style.
- The classes are also very nice, the library is beautiful, well organized and peaceful.
Dislikes
- We get information about scholarships, they are not interested in giving scholarships to poor students like us.
- I disliked the lack of facilities in college sports, or music room facilities gym and all and mess is also not good
- There is one almirah and one table and one bed provided in the hostel but the mess is really not good which was a problem in every college.

Nit Durgapur is among top 10 NITs in Indian. It is Prestigious college in India. Almost 90% student get placed in the final year. Many prestigious companies visit in our campus like Amazon, Microsoft, vipro etc. So placement is very good. Its facilities is also Appreciable. Well hostle facilities, food, etc.

It is in top 10 nits and i got it with my rank and the college is good for mechanical engineering with good facaulty and good packagesand facilities also very good in the college and culture also good and finally it is in top ten national instititr of trchnolovirz for mechanical engineering

I like this nit college facility, i worked hard to get nit or iit but i got nit, but then i like ece and mech but actually I got mechanical engineering and placements are also good said by my families, so i like and got admission to this college

The college has a peaceful good environment which attracted me a lot and also the college has a good reputation. The course which I opted is my favorite course and this college gave me an opportunity to pursue that course.

The main factor that has driven me to take admission in this college is the Course.
I had strongly decided to take Computer Science and Engineering. Also NIT Durgapur is an excellent college for CSE and Mechanical Engineering. I opted CSE because I am very much passionate in new technologies.

I have always aspired to live a luxurious life and the IITS and NITS of our country provides a lucrative jobs so i was attracted by the excellence in academics and my bright future prospects. My college is ranked among the top 50 engineering colleges in India and I was receiving a seat by my state quota, so I opted for this college

Students get a scholarship based on their academics as well there economic based. There is ICICI bank also on the campus. If you need any loan support, bank helps you. so there is no problem of fees

Here is a detailed review shared by my brother who completed his graduation from NIT Durgapur
- Infrastructure: Honestly, the infrastructure isn’t all that great but will provide all the basic amenities necessary for a good academic environment.
- Faculty: Most students have to resort to self-study because the professors are not very passionate about teaching. However, if you do good projects under a professor, you may be able to pursue a master's in a foreign university.
- Placements: NIT Durgapur has recorded excellent placements. This year the highest CTC offered was INR 70 LPA while the average salary offered was INR 13.64 LPA. The top recruiters included TCS Ninja, PwC, ICICI Bank, Microsoft, and many others. More than 100 recruiters participated in the placement drive and 633 students were placed.
- Opportunities: The NIT tag will open a number of opportunities for you and the alumni network is also quite extensive. You can also avail opportunities like workshops and clubs.
- Campus life: The campus life is very active with many fun-filled events like the freshers' farewell party and celebration of regional festivals. Additionally, a number of cultural and technical fests are also held.
- Administration : The administration is very slow and is not cooperative. You might face some issues.
- Location : NIT Durgapur faces no major connectivity issues. The railway station is 30 mins or 14 km away while the nearest airport is at Andal, which isn't well connected, so Kolkata Airport will be a better option. You can find the Auto rickshaw stand just at the main gate.
Overall, NIT Durgapur is a great place if you are unable to make it to IITs.
