Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Music (B.Mus) degree from the University of Calcutta or an equivalent recognised university with a minimum of 50 percent aggregate marks (45 percent for SC, ST, and OBC candidates).
- Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline and a recognised Sangeet Visharad, Sangeet Prabhakar, or equivalent qualification in Hindustani or Karnatic music from a recognised academy may also be considered subject to a qualifying audition.
- Final selection is based on the merit list prepared by the Department on the basis of qualifying degree marks, the practical audition score on the chosen specialisation, and an interview conducted by the Faculty of Fine Arts.
