University of Calcutta M.Sc Microbiology: Fees 2026, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

Ans. The entrance test is conducted entirely by the University of Calcutta and is not connected to CUET-PG or any other national-level examination. All applicants, whether from Calcutta University or any other institution, must appear for this university-level test. The test covers microbiology topics at the undergraduate honours level. Ans. Yes, candidates from universities other than Calcutta University are eligible to apply and must appear in the entrance test. They compete under Category-B in the open merit pool. Once admitted, non-CU students must submit an original migration certificate from their previous university within one month of admission. Reserved category seats are available only to domicile candidates of West Bengal as per university rules.

Ans. The university has hostel accommodation managed by its Board of Residence.
