Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must hold B.Sc. Honours in Zoology or an equivalent qualification from a recognised university, with a minimum of 50% marks in the Honours subject.
• SC and ST candidates receive a relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum eligibility, bringing their effective minimum to 45% in Honours.
• 60% of seats (Category A) are reserved for current Calcutta University Honours graduates. The remaining 40% (Category B) are open to non-CU graduates of the current and immediately preceding year.
• Candidates who have appeared in the final year examination and are awaiting results may also apply as appeared candidates, subject to producing the mark sheet before merit list publication.

Admission Process

• Complete the online application at caluniv-ucsta.net, selecting M.Sc. Zoology under the Faculty of Science with the preferred order of courses.
• Pay the application fee of INR 100 (INR 50 for SC/ST/PWD candidates) through State Bank Collect after online submission.
• Submit the printed application form along with mark sheets, transfer certificate, migration certificate, and community certificate at the campus office.
• Category A (CU) candidates are ranked by academic merit. Category B (non-CU) candidates may appear for an entrance test or interview as notified by the department.
