- 8000 is tution fees here and lots of scholarship like e grants and many other for students and lower caste people getting more scholarship...as a aid ... and it's nice policy mcm is a good scholarship
- The faculty to student ratio is appropriate they provide great support highly skilled faculties good quality mentoring good in interactions and helping in study they reach out to us for any help regarding the syllabus
- Life in gec us best best policy,best pics and best freedom here is best and nice we can think well and well established life here is peace peace fullued with peace no dugs no other misallenious activities in gec
Dislikes
- The ladies hostel in our college is the shittiest ever .
- There is no playground's in my college so we missed a lot of activities there.
- No of students interested in b.tech is getting lower and lower by year

Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for placements from the fifth semester.We will be getting training.Companies like Wipro, Infosys,Sap and lots more visited our college.The seats they are offering is less comaperd to the student ratio. Highest package offered is 12LPA and average is 5LPA.

- Engaging Campus Life The campus was vibrant with re regular cultural events , fest sand technical workshops allowing studnets to showcase talents and network
- The profeesors were good, with many holding good degrees or experience they were very well guiding and i liked being taught by them
- The campus was equipped with modern facilities including smart classrooms high speed internet and well managed libraries
Dislikes
- Hope teachers teach students in english medium rather than malyalam
- With changing technologies its important to change the curriculunm
- We can focus on improving communication skills in the curriculum

Placement from this college is good and almost ist very good for the cse branch
students from 7th semester are eligible
almost more than 120 companies visit
highest package is 34ctc average is 3.5ctc

Cariculam of our college are nice and every students know each other because of programs held in the college and make every students friend and might help each other for every situationship. That is the real freindship

After 6 sem students can attend placements.they are offering so many good companies including tcs, L& T, infosis, Sobha, wipro, many more.package can be from 3 to 6 LPA .60 % of students are getting placed from college

- The overall environment of our college is soo pleasing and pleasant
- The staffs and teachers are very supportive and are willing to help us
- The laboratories are well equipped and the curriculum is pretty new

- The college is very strict and will punish the students violating them
- The marking scheme of the college is really boring
- Placements are not as much as they promised

Students are eligible for campus placement after their 6th semester.
Companies such as Tata ,TCS , ola , ather, ISRO visited our college for campus placement
The average package offerdies 3 or 4 lakh per annum. The highest package at offer the tower college way up to 30 lakhs per annum
If you are willing to sit for the placements many of the students could easily get placement about 80%
My plans after getting degree is either doing some job and gaining some work experience for planning to go for higher studies

- College is having labs and workshops with all required efficient machines and equipments.Faculties are having amble exposure and knowledge about the field they are handling with.There is lack of time which is giving for self study .
- Our college is having a vast alumni connection across different sectors and thereby a stong placement unit.They are providing us with amble job opportunities.
- The course curriculum has been included many relevant topics but some times they may cause academic pressure to students.
Dislikes
- Work pressure is the ultimate problem and lak of activity time for self learning.
- Faculties are not friendly even before new students and not trying to develop skills.
- Programmes are being arranged only after 4 30 pm.Hence some are struggling to utilise their leisure time .
Course Curriculum Overview:
Couse curriculum have included only relevant and comprehensive topics in order to enhance our skills. It prepares us for real world applications or further academic pursuits.Sometimes exam are so much difficult to approach in nature.

- The ambient environment gives a peace of mind. During the rain, it's even better.
- New management, launched a new cafeteria in the college and it's positioned in a perfect place. It's a nice place to hangout and relax.
- Now there are various programs conducted, which is a relaxation for students.
Dislikes
- Infrastructure quality is poor in some areas, like in some classrooms, the electronics are not properly working, like, fans not working, projector not working, lights blinking, etc. Some toilet taps aren't working properly.
- Some labs have poorly working fans, not working AC's, very old laggy PC's.
- A few of the teachers are overly strict and non supportive of the students. Very few are like torture for students.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The curriculum is very old and must be improved to be on par with the ever expanding new technologies.
I took this course, since I have a passion in programming. But there are various subjects which are minimal to no - relevant towards my department, which is IT. Chemistry, Chemistry Lab, Physics, Physics lab, Maths ( even though some parts of maths and physics is needed, it can be joined with the other programming subjects so that only things that are specifically necessary are being teached and both, being a seperate subject is unnecessary ), Engineering Graphics, Engineering Mechanics, Mechanical, Civil, Mech Lab, Civil Lab, and all other non-credit subjects ( if there is no credit, why studying ? ).
And can include more subjects revolving around various programming languages such as, C++, C#, Kotlin, React, etc.

- Overall infrastructure of the campus is really great, I was a mechanical engineering student so the labs related to my course were really good. The labs had variety of machines, engines and experimental setup needed for practicals.
- Professor's are really knowledgeable and helpful. Most of them were really friendly towards students.
- Sports facilities such as football turf and cricket ground are good. Although students can't use the cricket ground
Dislikes
- Overall attitude of teachers towards students is not good. Especially branches other than mechanical.
- Some teachers used to keep personal grudge with students and deliberately reduce their internal marks.

I really love automobiles, that was the main reason behind my decision to opt for mechanical engineering.Most of the aspects about machines and engis where covered as part of the subject. One who want to learn more about a subject has the opportunity to opt for minor in that subject.

- The first thing I like about the college is the support from the teaching staff and their helping mentality.
- There is a stage for showing our talents.
- There is a space for sharing our ideas like startup ideas and project funding.
Dislikes
- At first few semesters there was a thing like boys and girls should not sit in the same seat.
- The second is the fees that is to be paid, as a middle class family this amount is difficult for me.
- More benefits are for hostelers as they can play games after class
Placement Experience:
The students are eligible to attend the placement drives once they are at the seventh semester.There are a lot of companies coming here.I think the average package offered is around 10lakhs per annum and my senior got placed with a job which offered him 55 lpa.The more opportunities are for the it industries but there are also opportunities for other branches.

- I cant say about other departments but the faculty in IT department are very good. Very friendly faculty who support each student very well.
- Startups are encouraged well in our college. There is a proper working environment for them unlike other colleges.
- The events are very good nowadays since the management has changed in 2024. The campus has become student friendly ever since the new management has come.
Dislikes
- The hostel food is not that great according to my friends (I am a day scholar). Even though everyday except friday you get non veg the quality is a question mark.
- The number of technical events happening are less compared to cultural ones which is not that a big problem but a con
- The labs need to be more modern like more modern powerful systems. The ones there are working but more powerful and modern computers are needed.
Placement Experience:
From the seventh semester you are eligible for campus placements. In the end of sixth semester you will be given trainging for aptitude, technical, and other professional etiquttes to be followed in a placement. Some of our top recruiters are SOTI, Safran, UST, Cognizant. There are many other companies also coming.

The University's Main Campus covers 189 acres and is bordered on the north by the Adyar River and on the south by Raj Bhavan. The Madras Institute of Technology at Chrompet is the University's second campus, spanning 52 acres. Taramani, Chennai, has a third campus that spans 5 acres. These campuses have a variety of buildings that serve the University community's various needs.
ISRO has given Anna University the task of creating the "Microsatellite" known as ANUSAT.
It is the first university in India to have a satellite that will carry payloads for technological demonstrations. ANUSAT, which weighs about 35 kg and uses 40 W of power, will function as a store and forward communication station. There are ground stations at MIT, AU, and IIT Kharagpur. The total cost of the project is Rs. 5 crores, and a clean room is included. A facility for assembly is established at the MIT Aerospace department. The structure is built at the College of Engineering, Guindy, along with significant power and other electronic subsystems. Software for thermal, control, orbital, ground and payload systems is created by MIT and Anna University departments.
