University of Colorado - CU, Colorado, usa: 1 answered questions

Ques. Which university is better, university of Colorado, Boulder or Northeastern University?

    ● Top Answer By Vaishnavi Agrawal on 03 Feb 21

Ans. Everyone has different criteria and experiences and if you ask me, Northeastern was not that great an experience because it was a private school and for me money was an important factor. If you consider their rankings, it is obviously better ranked than University of Colorado which ranks at 103rd place while NEU ranks at 49th place in the national universities. Northeastern University Northeastern University offers rigorous academic learning and continuous opportunities for the students. It received 62,000 applications to fill out mere 2800 seats during 2018 and 2019 which means you’ll find a lot of competition here. It also has a great reputation as an innovative experiential university and it also has a co-op program. You’ll gain a lot of theoretical knowledge as well as practical experience here. It has abundant resources you can utilize. University of Colorado  You can definitely consider this because of easier admissions- it has an acceptance rate of 78% and an early acceptance rate of 94.7%. You’ll also have 43.8% of its classes with less than 20 students. It also offers need based financial aid to 33% of its undergraduate students and the scholarship or grant award ranges from 3000-15,000 USD. Here’s a quick comparison of both universities: However, that may not really help you in making this decision alone. To choose a college, you will really have to dig up information related to your classes of interest, what experience you are looking for, or which college has a better scope for you to land a high paying job in return of your money. You should decide after evaluating different options and choose the college that is going to help you deliver the result you want to achieve.Read more

I always wanted to pursue my masters from the USA. One of my aunts lives here in Boulder. This being the reason, my parents agreed for this university as I have a local guardian here. I applied to the university by paying an application fee of $50.

    Course Curriculum :

The MS in supply chain management is providing an in-depth education in the specific area of supply chain management. This 10-month program includes extensive coursework and an application of materials, preparing us for a range of job opportunities. In addition to the academic coursework, four enrichment seminars in topics ranging from teamwork and leadership to ethics and corporate social responsibility are helping us transform from students to leaders.

I received in-state tuition, it had a great program for my chosen major. I was then able to receive help and expand my major into a double major with a minor, and I have always loved the CU Campus and the activities as well as Greek organizations that it offers.

    Course Curriculum :

I believe that the course curriculum is proficient in helping students to learn basic material, but as with anything, could be improved drastically. In some areas, such as the political science major, the initial year of education within the major courses leaves a political science major feeling lost as to what they want to do for a potential career.

I chose the University of Colorado because I originally did my freshman year at the University of Hawaii and so all my credits transferred to CU. Since I am from Colorado the in-state tuition was definitely a plus as well as the beautiful campus that was close to home!

    Course Curriculum :

The course curriculum was good for the classes specific to major but classes for the degree were not very applicable to the field of study and sort of felt like a waste of money. I actually ended up withdrawing because of one of the major specific classes I took where I figure out that the major I was in was not what I wanted to do! So good and bad I guess.

It was in-state tuition so it wasn't as expensive and I liked the campus and the atmosphere better than the other in-state school (Colorado State University). They also have better political science and pre-law program than CSU.

    Course Curriculum :

The course curriculum at my university is good. The classes aren't too challenging but they're not easy either. Most of the classes I have taken have been fairly interesting to me and I think the general education credits we're required to get help foster valuable skills.

Close to my home town and they had a strong engineering program. The location in terms of things to do outside of class included a lot of what I would be interested in doing (such as hiking, shopping, exploring, etc).

    Course Curriculum :

Good, but a high requirement of natural sciences that is unneeded for computer science majors (such as chemistry, geology, etc). As a computer science major, I do not find this requirement benefiting towards my field of study.
