Established in 1819, Centre College is the renowned art college in the US. The college has an acceptance rate of 76%. With very low applicant competition the college offers admissions to over 1,450 students every year. Admissions are offered to the students who are in the top 18% of the standardized test scores.

Centre College International Student Admissions

Centre College has different admission requirements for the International students in comparison to the domestic students and in order to take admission in the university, the applicants need to submit the required documents to be a part of the university.

Academic requirements:

  • ACT/SAT (optional), Official transcripts. The college requires either the ACT or SAT and it should be sent from the respective testing services, included on a student’s high school transcript, or can also be emailed to admission@centre.edu by the applicant’s school counsellor.

Language requirements: The scores of TOEFL or IELTS test are required for admission and English translation of Transcript must be attached with the original. AP, IB, and/or IGCSE scores (if available)

Visa Process for International Students

  • Students outside the US will need a Certificate of Eligibility while applying for a student visa and to enter the United States (INS Form 1-20 for F-1 student)
  • Applicants will need to provide the following documents at the US embassy:
  • Valid passport
  • Proof of financial support
  • Bank statement
  • Passport-size photographs

The College will issue the Certificate of Eligibility only when two conditions gets fulfilled, firstly, if the student deposited USD 300 enrollment fees and secondly on producing certification of finances showing which shows adequate financial support.

Centre College Undergraduate Admissions

Centre College offers over 50 programs at undergraduate level along with other graduate programs.

Academic requirements - Official transcripts (translated in English). English proficiency score will be exempted for the individuals where English is the First and Official Language

  • SAT or ACT scores (SAT or ACT test score is not compulsory but is recommended if the test is available in your country).
  • TOEFL or IELTS score (TOEFL minimum is a 90, IELTS a 7.0)

Supporting documents - Letter of Intent, Personal statement/essay, official high school transcript and letter of recommendation

The students need to deposit a USD 300 non-refundable enrollment deposit by either February 1 (for Early Decision) or May 1 (for Early Action and Regular Decision) to secure your admission.

Centre College Graduate Admissions

How to Apply: The college welcomes international students who are applying for the course, also there is a student-run organization for international students, International Student Association (ISA) that help international students to adjust in a new environment.

Admission Requirements:

  • Scanned copies of official Transcripts must be mailed directly.
  • Certificate of finances.
  • Apply for F-1 student visa.
  • All the applicants have to submit at least one essay of 250-500 words written in English.

Academic requirements: iBT, IELTS, Paper TOEFL requirements.
