Courses

The university offers a plethora of courses for international students which includes more than 80 degrees programs across four academic colleges namely:

  • The College of Arts & Science: Offers bachelor's and master's degree programs in arts, sciences, behavioral sciences, communication, and humanities majors.
  • College of Business: offers undergraduate majors in accounting and business administration, a flexible MBA degree with 13 concentration areas.
  • College of Science and Technology: Offers bachelor's and master's degree programs in programming languages, network systems, and web-based applications.
  • The school of Continuing and Professional Education: Offers professional programs leading to bachelors degrees, in addition to training and professional development workshops

The institute sprawls across a 46-acre main campus in Bellevue, Nebraska. Omaha is rated as one of the best places to live in the U.S according to U.S. News and World Report in 2016. Nearly 9,000 students complete graduation annually across the campus locations spread across the 4 US states namely Nebraska, Washington, Iowa, and Idaho. Housing Facilities

The organization offers housing facilities in the apartments at Betz road and Royal Oaks. At Betz road, apartment students reside in 3 buildings with 2 and 4 bedroom units, while Royal Oaks has 1 and 2 bedroom units across 4 buildings.

  • Full-time undergraduates under the age of 24 receive priority placement, while the pending availability is open to graduate students.
  • International students can opt for on-campus accommodation by completing the housing application in the student portal BRUIN before July 1, 2020 with the payment of a non-refundable housing fee of 250 USD/year for Fall 2020 housing.
  • Students are charged separately for the meal plan every term throughout the year. They can purchase an 8 meal plan for 607 USD/term on their student account

Bellevue University Admission Process

The university admits international students in the Fall, Spring, Winter and Summer sessions following an open admissions policy. Although the admission process for both domestic and international students remains similar, international students should fulfill the university specified academic and non-academic requirements to secure admission to the program.

How to Apply

Application Portal: Complete the online application form in the Bellevue University’s website

Application fee: 100 USD (non-refundable)

Admission Requirements:

  • Completed application form
  • An official evaluation of all secondary and post-secondary credentials by an approved National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) member like ECE and WES. 
  • Affidavit of support form as proof of sufficient funds(34,368 USD for the academic year 2019-20). 
  • The financial documents should have an account under the student’s name established for at least one month with the funds in Certificate of Deposit/Savings account
  • Proof of TOEFL or equivalent test scores to demonstrate proficiency in English. The minimum test score requirements of the university are tabulated as follows:

Scholarships/ Financial-Aid

The university offers financial support to its aspirants in the form of various awards and scholarships for international students to study in the USA. In fact, 89% of full-time enrolled, first-time students receive some form of financial aid. The majority of scholarships at Bellevue University are offered by donors rather than the university itself. Few scholarships offered to international students include:

  • Hong Zheng and Dr. Fawn Jin Scholarship: Full-time enrolled students in an undergraduate degree with CGPA ¾ receive an award amount of 1000 USD
  • Tessa White Memorial Endowed Scholarship: Full-time enrolled International female students with CGPA ¾ are eligible.

 However, international students can opt for the following scholarships offered by external agencies.
