How the Existing RMIT-BITS Joint Scholarship Works
The industry-integrated launch sits on top of a pre-existing joint PhD scholarship that BITS Pilani and RMIT already run. That scholarship pays a monthly stipend of INR 45,800 to scholars entering with a master’s degree. Integrated first-degree holders receive INR 42,800 during coursework and INR 45,800 after.
Selected candidates also get a full RMIT tuition fee waiver for the entire enrolment. Scholars travel to Melbourne for up to one year of the PhD, with an Australian stipend during that stay. Every project has one advisor from each university.
