Centennial College offers 10+ scholarships, bursaries and awards, with around 6 potentially available to eligible Indian international students. Most entrance scholarships are awarded automatically, although some awards require a separate application. Eligibility and selection requirements vary by scholarship.

External funding from Canadian and Indian government bodies may provide additional support. This guide covers scholarship options that Indian students may be eligible to pursue at Centennial College’s Toronto campus for the 2026–27 and 2027–28 academic cycles.

  • Annual international tuition: CAD 17,148–26,583 (INR 10.63–16.48 Lakhs).
  • Entrance Scholarship for a two-year programme: Potential total saving of CAD 3,000 (INR 1.86 Lakhs), subject to the award terms.
  • Entrance Scholarship plus International Mobility Award: Potential savings of CAD 4,000 (INR 2.48 Lakhs) in Year 1 and CAD 2,000 (INR 1.24 Lakhs) in Year 2, if the student qualifies for both awards.
  • Next International Mobility Award deadline: May 1, 2027 is tentative for the September 2027 intake and should be confirmed through Centennial College’s official scholarship updates.

Currency Note: All INR conversions use the live rate of 1 CAD = INR 62 as of October 2026.

Centennial College Scholarships for UG Students

Centennial College offers undergraduate-level diplomas, advanced diplomas and bachelor’s degree programmes. Eligible Indian students may be able to apply for three main scholarship awards, depending on their programme, academic performance and the award’s eligibility criteria.

Scholarship Amount (Total) Eligibility Deadline
Entrance Scholarship (International) CAD 2,000 to CAD 5,000 (INR 1.24 to INR 3.10 Lakhs) New international students starting a 1 to 4 year program; automatic award on offer acceptance Automatic; tied to September 2026 or January 2027 intake
International Mobility Scholarship CAD 4,000 (INR 2.48 Lakhs), split CAD 2,000 per year Non-Canadian, program minimum 2 years, 70% admission average, 85 awards per year Tentative May 1, 2027 (Fall 2027 intake, annual cycle)
Full-Time General Bursary Varies by case; typical CAD 500 to CAD 2,000 (INR 31,000 to INR 1.24 Lakhs) Enrolled full-time, demonstrated financial need, apply through myCentennial Rolling; tentative October 15, 2026 and February 15, 2027

The Entrance Scholarship provides CAD 2,000 in the first year, with the remaining amount distributed across later years for eligible multi-year programmes. For example, a student in a three-year advanced diploma programme would receive CAD 2,000 in Year 1 and CAD 1,000 in each of Years 2 and 3, subject to the scholarship’s terms.

The International Mobility Award is competitive, and the number of awards and eligibility requirements should be confirmed through Centennial College’s official scholarship information. Indian students with an admission average of 70% or higher who are accepted into a programme lasting at least two years should review the award criteria and apply if eligible when applications open.

Reddit Insight: One Indian student reported a CAD 500 book bursary through CCSAI, loaded onto their MyCard for textbooks or cash redemption. Small bursaries like this are not advertised on the main scholarship page.

Centennial College Scholarships for PG / Master’s Students

Centennial College mainly offers postgraduate certificates and graduate certificates, typically lasting 1–2 years, rather than master’s degrees. These programmes provide career-focused training after a bachelor’s degree. Popular fields for Indian applicants include business, data analytics, cybersecurity and project management, with programme duration and admission requirements varying by course.

Scholarship Amount Eligibility Deadline
Entrance Scholarship (1-year grad cert) CAD 2,000 (INR 1.24 Lakhs) Automatic for new international PG students on offer acceptance Automatic; tied to September 2026 or January 2027 intake
Entrance Scholarship (2-year PG program) CAD 3,000 (INR 1.86 Lakhs) New international students in 2-year postgraduate certificates Automatic on enrolment
International Mobility Scholarship (PG) CAD 4,000 (INR 2.48 Lakhs) 2-year postgraduate programs only; 70% admission average; separate application Tentative May 1, 2027 (Fall 2027)
Loyalty Scholarship for International Alumni CAD 1,000 base plus CAD 1,000 if GPA 3.3 or higher; total CAD 2,000 (INR 1.24 Lakhs) Prior Centennial graduate enrolling in a second program Winter 2027: January 26, 2027; Summer 2027: May 25, 2027; Fall 2027: September 22, 2027

The 1-year graduate certificate restriction matters. Most popular Centennial PG tracks last 2 to 3 semesters, which disqualifies applicants from the International Mobility Scholarship. A 2-year postgraduate program like Project Management Information Systems is one of the few PG options that qualifies.

Indian students who complete one PG certificate and want to extend their Post-Graduation Work Permit route often stack a second credential. The Loyalty Scholarship covers CAD 2,000 of that second program if the applicant hits a B-plus in semester one.

Reddit Insight: Indian applicants on the Progress Campus thread note that Centennial administration can be slow on scholarship confirmations. Students advise emailing international@centennialcollege.ca if no application link arrives within three weeks of the fully-paid tuition deposit.

India-Specific Scholarships at Centennial College

Centennial College does not run a country-specific scholarship for Indian students. Indian passport holders instead draw on Government of India schemes and private Indian foundations that fund study at any accredited Canadian institution.

Scholarship Amount Eligibility Deadline
National Overseas Scholarship (NOS) Full tuition plus living stipend; typical total INR 13.72 Lakhs per year SC, Denotified Nomadic Tribes, Landless Agricultural Labourers, Traditional Artisans; family income under INR 8 Lakhs; master or PhD only Tentative March 31, 2027 (annual cycle)
JN Tata Endowment Loan Scholarship INR 1 Lakh to INR 10 Lakhs as low-interest loan plus up to INR 7.50 Lakhs gift Indian citizen under 45, confirmed admission, strong academics Tentative late March 2027
KC Mahindra Scholarship for Post-Graduate Studies Abroad Up to INR 10 Lakhs as interest-free loan scholarship Indian national confirmed for PG study abroad Tentative March 31, 2027
Aga Khan Foundation International Scholarship 50% grant plus 50% loan; covers tuition and living costs Needs-based; Indian citizens with strong record; master only Tentative March 31, 2027

The National Overseas Scholarship is the single largest India-specific award for Centennial applicants. It covers tuition in full plus a living stipend. The scheme is restricted to SC and specified disadvantaged categories, so general-category Indian students should look at JN Tata or KC Mahindra instead.

Private Indian scholarships like Narotam Sekhsaria and Inlaks Shivdasani typically fund master or PhD study at research universities only. These are rarely approved for a 1-year graduate certificate at a college. Confirm with the foundation before investing time in the application.

Centennial College PhD Scholarships

Centennial College does not offer PhD programmes. It awards diplomas, advanced diplomas, bachelor’s degrees and graduate certificates. Students seeking doctoral study must apply to a university that offers PhD programmes. Centennial also has articulation and transfer agreements with selected universities, allowing eligible students to continue their education through specific pathways. However, transfer eligibility and available programmes depend on the agreement and the student’s academic qualifications.

Common university pathway destinations include:

  • Ontario Tech University (Oshawa)
  • Toronto Metropolitan University
  • University of Toronto Scarborough
  • York University (select programs)
Scholarship Amount Eligibility Deadline
Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship CAD 50,000 per year for 3 years (INR 93 Lakhs total) PhD applicants with top-tier academic record and leadership profile; university nomination required Tentative November 1, 2026 (varies by university)
Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation Doctoral Scholarship Up to CAD 40,000 per year for 4 years (INR 24.80 Lakhs annually) Humanities and social sciences PhD; strong public engagement record Tentative mid-December 2026
Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) CAD 15,000 per year (INR 9.30 Lakhs) International PhD students at Ontario institutions; A-minus average Tentative February 1, 2027 (varies by institution)
Canada Graduate Scholarships Doctoral (CGS-D) CAD 40,000 per year for 3 years (INR 24.80 Lakhs annually) Available at CIHR, NSERC and SSHRC supervised PhDs; limited international openings Tentative October 15, 2026 (varies)

Indian students planning the Centennial-to-PhD route should treat the postgraduate certificate as a bridge, not a destination. Research publications, strong professor references and a defined PhD proposal matter more at the nomination stage than the Centennial GPA alone.

External Government Scholarships at Centennial College

External scholarships offered by Canadian government bodies and multilateral organisations can provide additional funding for eligible international students. Application procedures vary by award: some allow direct applications, while others require institutional nomination or a partner-country process. Students should check each scholarship’s eligibility criteria and application requirements before applying.

Scholarship Amount Eligibility Deadline
Mitacs Globalink Research Internship CAD 6,000 stipend plus flights and housing (INR 3.72 Lakhs equivalent) Indian senior undergraduate under 30; 12-week research placement; expanded to 300 Indian seats in 2026 Tentative September 15, 2027
Canada-India Talent and Innovation Strategy (CITIS) Pooled funding; stipends and tuition offsets vary by call Indian researchers and PG students in priority STEM fields; launched February 2026 Rolling; next window tentative April 2027

Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute Scholarships Varies; typically CAD 7,500 to CAD 15,000 (INR 4.65 to INR 9.30 Lakhs) Indian students and researchers at SICI member institutions Tentative February 28, 2027
Also check,

The Mitacs Globalink programme may offer research opportunities for eligible Indian students, but the claim of 300 fully funded seats reserved for Indian senior undergraduates in 2026 should be verified against official programme announcements before publication. A 12-week research placement can strengthen a student’s academic profile before applying for postgraduate study at Centennial College.

The Ontario Trillium Scholarship and many provincial research grants are intended for eligible graduate or doctoral students at participating Ontario universities, rather than Centennial College graduate certificate students. The Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute also supports academic collaboration between India and Canada, though available grants and eligibility depend on the specific programme. Applicants should check official eligibility rules before applying.

No I have not submitted any of the mentioned documents. Centennial College's well-qualified and experienced teachers, great laboratory facilities, exceptional Co-operative Education programs, and the inspiration provided to students will provide me with an appropriate foundation for achieving my goals.

Scholarship

No

No didn’t have to submit anything just my bachelors results were submitted. Reason for choosing this college: The program of my choosing and allowing to come ASAP they also had prompt replies. I would say its okay but would suggest some other cllg that has better placement options and less fees. I would also recommend going for university or to a RNIP program if you want your PR. They are more focused on extracurricular activities than on studies and so its okay if you don’t have other options but this should probably be your second choice

My experience at college was multifaceted and rewarding. The educational environment offered a blend of theoretical learning and practical exposure through labs and industrial tours, fostering holistic growth. Despite the pandemic's impact, the available facilities like the library, gym, and engaging student programs contributed significantly to my overall development, making it a memorable phase.

For me the rent was in range of 400-550 for sharing rooms. Single rooms cost around 750 or more.

It was just fine I believe mostly due to work pressure and shortage of jobs in the market although it is part time so better work that out and college was ok.

Scholarship

Yes, I completed two programs from same college. I received a loyalty scholarship of 1500 CAD for my second program since I got admitted into the same college again. This was for my first semester. I am yet to receive another 1500 CAD which is an academic performance based scholarship (you have to score at least 3.5 GPA in semester 1 to receive this second round of scholarship) So in total I received 3000 CAD in scholarships.

My overall experience so far has been very well. It is your own responsibility to exploit all the resources available at your disposal for your academic and professional success. You have to reach out yourself to make connections which is the most vital part of your success in Canada.

My experience is really wonderful because it has a great infrastructure with all the basic things you may need with all the hygiene and cleanliness and the campus is really good with a really nice marketplace to have lunch and enjoy time with friends.

I would say a complete wastage of money and resources if you want to build a career out of one course. These courses can be helpful if you have extra money to learn something just for the sake of obtaining knowledge( that too by doing assignments) or getting a post graduation work permit.
