Centennial College does not publish fixed program-by-program deadlines.

• The college assesses international files on a rolling basis until each program’s seats are full, per the Centennial international how-to-apply page.
• The dates below are suggested Indian-applicant cutoffs that leave four to six months for the Canadian study permit and the Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL), a document Ontario issues that IRCC now requires with every study permit application.

Centennial’s primary intake for Indian students is Fall (September), the intake most programs open in.

Centennial College Eligibility for Indian Students

Centennial applies Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) equivalency to Indian qualifications. Class XII from CBSE, CISCE, or a recognised State Board is accepted for post-secondary diplomas and bachelor’s degrees, while a completed Bachelor’s or three-year diploma is required for graduate certificates. 

• Post-secondary diploma or advanced diploma: Class XII pass with around 65% overall, plus any required Class XII subjects.
• Bachelor’s degree (four-year honours): Class XII with roughly 70%, six academic subjects, and program-specific prerequisites at Class XII level.
• Graduate certificate (one to two years): completed Bachelor’s degree or three-year diploma. A two-year diploma with two years of related work experience is a discretionary pathway.

Centennial College Graduate Certificate Programs

Graduate certificates are one-year (two-semester) or occasionally two-year credentials aimed at applicants who already hold a Bachelor’s degree or a three-year diploma. How to Apply to Centennial College

International applications go through ApplyCentennial, Centennial’s proprietary portal for applicants outside Canada. Domestic applicants use OntarioColleges.ca (the Ontario Colleges Application Service), which does not apply to Indian students. One ApplyCentennial file lets you rank up to five program choices at the college.

1. Create an ApplyCentennial account and choose up to five programs. Degrees and graduate certificates can be mixed in the same application.
2. Upload Class XII marksheet or Bachelor’s degree transcripts, passport bio page, and your English test score report (or MOI letter if claiming a waiver).
3. Pay the application fee of CAD 125 (around INR 8,676) on the ApplyCentennial portal. This fee is non-refundable and covers all program choices in the same file.
4. Add a short letter of interest, portfolio, or resume if the program page requires it. Design, PR, and advanced-standing programs typically do.
5. Submit and track status inside ApplyCentennial. Some programs may schedule an online information session or interview after review.

Standard turnaround for a first admission decision is two to four weeks once the file is complete. Competitive graduate certificates can take longer during Fall peak review.

Centennial College Admission Decisions Timeline

Once you submit through ApplyCentennial, decisions arrive by email in a defined sequence. Understanding the timeline helps you plan the tuition deposit, PAL, and study permit filing in order.

• Offer letter: issued 2 to 4 weeks after a complete file for most programs, up to 6 weeks during Fall peak.
• Acceptance deadline: typically 30 days from the offer date, or the deadline stated on the offer itself.
• Tuition deposit to confirm: CAD 2,000 (around INR 1.39 Lakhs) payable on the ApplyCentennial portal. This counts toward first-semester tuition.
• Letter of Acceptance (LoA) and PAL: issued after the deposit clears. The PAL is required for your Canadian study permit application to IRCC.
• Deferral policy: a one-term deferral to the next intake is generally permitted before term start, subject to program availability. Request in writing before you decline.

Documents for Centennial College Admission

Centennial’s document checklist is short at the application stage but adds a second tier post-offer. Have PDF scans ready before you start ApplyCentennial so the file does not sit incomplete.

• Passport bio page: valid for at least the full duration of the intended program.
• Class XII marksheet and passing certificate for diploma and degree applicants.
• Bachelor’s degree transcripts and consolidated marksheet for graduate certificate applicants. Three-year diploma transcripts are also accepted.
• English test score report (IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, Duolingo, or CAEL) or a Medium of Instruction letter on school or college letterhead.
• Certified English translation for any document not originally issued in English.
• Letter of interest, portfolio, or resume where the program page requests one (design, PR, advanced-standing entry).
• Two years of relevant work experience letters if applying to a graduate certificate on the two-year-diploma plus experience pathway.

Post-offer, add proof of tuition deposit payment, a Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) of CAD 20,635 (around INR 14.32 Lakhs), and financial statements to file the Canadian study permit.

Centennial College does not publish an official institutional acceptance rate. Certain programs, including Cybersecurity, Business Analytics, and Nursing, are far more competitive than that headline suggests. Which programs are hardest to get into?

Graduate certificates in Cybersecurity and Business Analytics and Insights close their Fall intake early because seats are capped and Indian demand is high. Bachelor of Science in Nursing runs a small international cohort with a Class XII floor closer to 80 percent. Practical Nursing (a diploma) is similarly competitive despite its two-year format.

Which pathways admit most qualified applicants?

Two-year business diplomas, IT technician diplomas, and hospitality streams historically admit close to every applicant who meets the 65 percent Class XII floor and IELTS 6.0 minimum, particularly in Winter and Summer intakes when demand is thinner.

Insider note: Applying to two well-matched programs on the same ApplyCentennial file, for example one graduate certificate and one advanced diploma in a related field, is a common Indian-applicant hedge that costs no extra fee and can produce a faster overall offer.
