Langara College admissions open a Canadian entry route for Indian students through diplomas, associate degrees, bachelor programs, and post-degree diplomas, with undergraduate applicants needing Class XII at 60% or higher and post-degree applicants needing a recognised bachelor’s degree from India.
- Next live deadline (Spring 2027 intake): 30 September 2026 for regular studies programs via EducationPlanner BC.
- Base tuition: CAD 676.96 per credit (around ₹46,520) for standard programs, with a non-refundable application fee of CAD 155 (around ₹10,652) effective 1 June 2026.
- Eligibility floor: Class XII at 60% for UG diplomas, a recognised bachelor’s degree for post-degree diplomas, plus IELTS Academic 6.5 (no band under 6.0) or TOEFL iBT 88.
- Acceptance rate: estimated at around 85%, based on Langara’s open-access diploma intake pattern; the college does not publish an official institutional figure.
Popular routes for Indian applicants at Langara College include the two-year Computer Studies Diploma, Post-Degree Diplomas in Business Administration and Data Analytics, and the Bachelor of Business Administration, and Indian student reviews on Collegedunia flag the two Vancouver campuses, the co-op work placements, and the transferable-credit route into UBC and SFU as the top reasons the college keeps its Indian intake growing each cycle.

Langara College Application Deadlines and Intakes
Langara runs three intakes each year, and the following windows come from the Langara Apply to Regular Studies page. Applications open on fixed calendar dates (1 February, 1 June, 1 October) roughly 11 months before each intake starts, and rolling review continues until a program fills. Fall is the primary intake because most programs, including the two-year diplomas Indian students apply to most, open in September.
Langara’s primary intake for Indian students is Fall (September) — most diploma, degree, and post-degree diploma programs open here.
| Intake | Level | App Opens | Deadline | App Fee | Portal |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fall 2026 (September) | UG + Post-Degree | 1 October 2025 | 31 May 2026 (Closed) | CAD 155 (₹10,652) | EducationPlanner BC |
| Spring 2027 (January) | UG + Post-Degree | 1 February 2026 | 30 September 2026 | CAD 155 (₹10,652) | EducationPlanner BC |
| Summer 2027 (May) | UG + Post-Degree | 1 June 2026 | 31 January 2027 | CAD 155 (₹10,652) | EducationPlanner BC |
| Fall 2027 (September) — Primary intake | UG + Post-Degree | 1 October 2026 | 31 May 2027 | CAD 155 (₹10,652) | EducationPlanner BC |
| Post-Degree Nursing Practice (Spring 2027) | Post-Degree | 1 February 2026 | 30 September 2026 (extended) | CAD 155 (₹10,652) | EducationPlanner BC |
Planning note: Langara reviews on a rolling basis and closes programs early once seats fill, so aim to submit at least 8 to 10 weeks before the posted deadline for a competitive intake like Post-Degree Business Administration.
Langara Eligibility for Indian Students
Langara sets institution-wide floors for academics and English, and each program may layer on prerequisite subjects on top. Indian applicants are read against the following minimums drawn from the Langara international admissions page and the English-requirements subpage.
- UG diploma or associate degree: Class XII (CBSE, ISC, or a State Board) with an aggregate of 60% or higher, including any program-specific subjects such as Mathematics for Computer Studies.
- Bachelor of Business Administration (degree completion): Class XII plus completion of the Langara business diploma or transferable credit from a recognised institution.
- Post-Degree Diploma (PDD): a recognised three or four-year bachelor’s degree from India with a minimum GPA of 2.5 on 4.0 (approximately 55 to 60%) in a related or open discipline depending on the PDD.
- Post-Degree Nursing Practice in Canada: an internationally-educated nurse credential plus current Indian nursing registration.
Langara English Language Proficiency Minimums
Langara accepts multiple English tests with fixed score floors. Category 2 applies to most credit programs and Category 3 covers open-access electives and pathway routes.
| Test | Category 2 (Standard) | Category 3 |
|---|---|---|
| IELTS Academic | 6.5 overall, no band below 6.0 | 6.5 overall |
| TOEFL iBT | 88 (20 in each skill) | 80 (Writing/Reading 20, Listening/Speaking 18) |
| PTE Academic | 56 (all skills 55+) | 56 |
| Duolingo English Test | 110 | 110 |
| CAEL | 70 overall (no band below 60) | 60 overall |
Langara IELTS Waiver for Indian Students
Langara waives English testing if the applicant holds a bachelor’s degree or higher from a recognised institution in an English-speaking country where the medium of instruction is English. Indian applicants who studied their undergraduate degree in English at a recognised Indian university may submit a Medium of Instruction (MOI) certificate for Category 3 review, but Category 2 programs still expect a formal test score. An ILAC Pathway certificate at Level 16 (3.3) also waives the test for two years from completion.
Note: Program-specific entry requirements, fees, and intake availability may differ from the institution-wide minimums shown above. Always confirm on the official Langara College page for your chosen program before applying.
Langara Post-Degree Diploma Programs
Post-Degree Diplomas (PDDs) are Langara’s most popular route for Indian applicants who already hold a bachelor’s degree. Each PDD is a two-year credential eligible for a three-year Post-Graduation Work Permit. Base tuition is CAD 638.67 per credit (around ₹43,889) for the business PDDs and CAD 638.64 per credit for Data Analytics and Applied Planning, with the full course-wise fees breakdown covering per-semester totals.
| Programme | Duration | Minimum Eligibility | English Req. Min. |
|---|---|---|---|
| Post-Degree Diploma in Business Administration | 2 years | Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 55%+ | IELTS 6.5 (no band below 6.0) |
| Post-Degree Diploma in Marketing Management | 2 years | Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 55%+ | IELTS 6.5 (no band below 6.0) |
| Post-Degree Diploma in Accounting | 2 years | Bachelor’s degree with basic accounting or math coursework | IELTS 6.5 (no band below 6.0) |
| Post-Degree Diploma in Data Analytics | 2 years | Bachelor’s degree with quantitative coursework or programming exposure | IELTS 6.5 (no band below 6.0) |
| Post-Degree Diploma in Applied Planning | 2 years | Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; planning-related coursework preferred | IELTS 6.5 (no band below 6.0) |
| Post-Degree Diploma in Web and Mobile App Design | 2 years | Bachelor’s degree; design portfolio submission recommended | IELTS 6.5 (no band below 6.0) |
| Post-Degree Nursing Practice in Canada | 2 years | Internationally-educated nurse credential + Indian nursing registration | IELTS 7.0 (Speaking/Listening 7.0) |
| Post-Degree Diploma in Financial Management | 2 years | Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 55%+ | IELTS 6.5 (no band below 6.0) |
Insider note: Langara’s Post-Degree Diploma in Data Analytics is the fastest-filling PDD for Indian applicants — plan to submit within four weeks of the intake window opening, not near the deadline.
Note: Program-specific entry requirements, fees, and intake availability may differ from the institution-wide minimums shown above. Always confirm on the official Langara College page for your chosen program before applying.
Langara College UG Programs and English Scores
Undergraduate options at Langara cover two-year diplomas, associate degrees that transfer into UBC or SFU on completion, and the four-year Bachelor of Business Administration. Base tuition is CAD 676.96 per credit (around ₹46,520), which totals roughly CAD 9,955 (about ₹6.84 Lakhs) per full-time semester of 15 credits. Living costs, U-Pass, and health cover live on the fees page.
| Programme | Duration | Minimum Eligibility | English Req. Min. |
|---|---|---|---|
| Diploma in Computer Studies | 2 years | Class XII at 60%+ with Mathematics | IELTS 6.5 (no band below 6.0) |
| Diploma in Business Management | 2 years | Class XII at 60%+ | IELTS 6.5 (no band below 6.0) |
| Bachelor of Business Administration | 4 years | Class XII at 60%+; completion of Langara business diploma or transfer credits | IELTS 6.5 (no band below 6.0) |
| Associate of Arts (Fine Arts, Sociology, Psychology) | 2 years | Class XII at 60%+ | IELTS 6.5 (no band below 6.0) |
| Associate of Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) | 2 years | Class XII at 60%+ with the relevant science subject | IELTS 6.5 (no band below 6.0) |
| Diploma in Criminology | 2 years | Class XII at 60%+ | IELTS 6.5 (no band below 6.0) |
Key insight: The Associate of Arts and Associate of Science are the cheapest legal path into UBC or SFU from India — finish the two years at Langara at ₹6.84 Lakhs per semester, then transfer credits directly into a Vancouver research-university bachelor’s.
Langara Application Process and Portal
Every international undergraduate and post-degree diploma applicant applies through the provincial EducationPlanner BC (EPBC) portal, not a Langara-run form. The process is fully online, with supporting documents uploaded to the Langara Admissions Portal after EPBC submission.
- Create an account on EducationPlanner BC, select Langara College, and choose your intake and program of study.
- Complete the online application form, listing Indian secondary and post-secondary qualifications with month-year of completion.
- Pay the application fee of CAD 155 (around ₹10,652) on the EducationPlanner BC portal — the fee is non-refundable and effective 1 June 2026.
- Upload official Indian transcripts, English test score (IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, or DET), and any program-specific documents to the Langara Admissions Portal after the acknowledgement email arrives.
- Track application status inside the Langara Student Information System, accept the conditional or unconditional offer, and pay the tuition deposit to trigger the Letter of Acceptance for your Canadian study permit.
Insider note: Langara acknowledges the EPBC application by email within 3 to 10 business days — if that window passes without contact, log in and confirm the fee cleared, since unpaid EPBC applications are held silently and never routed to Langara.
Langara College Admission Decisions Timeline
Langara issues admission decisions on a rolling basis once all supporting documents are on file. Offers are conditional until final Class XII or bachelor’s transcripts arrive, and the acceptance clock begins the day the offer email lands.
- Offer window: typically 4 to 8 weeks after the complete application (application form + fee + transcripts + English score) is on file.
- Acceptance deadline: the offer letter carries a fixed acceptance date, usually within 30 days of issue.
- Tuition deposit: new international students accepted for Summer 2027 onward pay CAD 9,000 (around ₹6.18 Lakhs) as a deposit before the Letter of Acceptance is released.
- Deferrals: Langara permits a one-time deferral to the next intake if the study permit is delayed, subject to program seat availability.
Documents Required for Langara Admissions
Documents are uploaded to the Langara Admissions Portal after the EPBC submission is acknowledged. Every document must be an official copy, and non-English documents need certified English translations.
- Valid Indian passport (biodata page scan).
- Official Class X and Class XII mark sheets and passing certificates from CBSE, ISC, or the relevant State Board.
- Official bachelor’s degree transcripts and provisional or final degree certificate (Post-Degree Diploma applicants only).
- English proficiency score report — IELTS, TOEFL iBT, PTE Academic, Duolingo English Test, or CAEL — sent electronically or as an official PDF.
- Medium of Instruction (MOI) certificate from the last institution (only if using the MOI route for Category 3 programs).
- Statement of Purpose or short study plan explaining program choice, career direction, and reason for choosing Canada.
- Resume and letters of reference (only if the program specifically asks — for example, Post-Degree Nursing Practice or design portfolios for Web and Mobile App Design).
Before you apply: Have every Indian transcript notarised and scanned in colour PDF before starting the upload — Langara’s portal rejects greyscale scans of Indian board certificates and the reupload cycle adds 2 to 3 weeks to a review.
Langara College Acceptance Rate for Indians
Langara does not publish an official institutional acceptance rate, and its diploma-first admissions model means selectivity varies sharply by program rather than at the college level.
Estimated Langara Acceptance Rate
Third-party estimates place the overall acceptance rate at around 85%, based on the college’s access-oriented model that admits most applicants who meet its stated Class XII 60% and IELTS 6.5 floors. The Fall 2024 intake included 4,500+ international students, and Spring 2025 admitted 3,800+ international students out of roughly 12,000+ total, which is consistent with a broadly accessible intake.
Programs That Fill Fastest at Langara
Post-Degree Diplomas in Business Administration, Data Analytics, and Marketing Management fill on rolling review within weeks of the intake opening — competitive not because of a high rejection rate, but because seats close early. The Computer Studies Diploma is the tightest UG-level program for Indian applicants.
Reality check: Meeting the 60% Class XII floor does not guarantee a seat in a full program — Langara stops accepting applications once a cohort fills, regardless of the posted deadline.
Canada Student Visa for Langara Applicants
Indian students admitted to Langara apply for a Canada Study Permit, which is the study visa for programs longer than six months. The Student Direct Stream (SDS) closed permanently on 8 November 2024, so all Indian applicants now file under the standard study permit route, which IRCC currently processes in 8 to 12 weeks from India.
The application is filed online through the IRCC portal after Langara issues the Letter of Acceptance. Applicants pay the CAD 150 (around ₹10,308) study permit fee plus the CAD 85 (around ₹5,841) biometrics fee, book biometrics at a VFS Global centre in India, and upload the LOA, a Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) from British Columbia, financial proof, and the Statement of Purpose. Financial proof usually includes a Guaranteed Investment Certificate of CAD 22,895 (around ₹15.73 Lakhs) from a Canadian bank, one year of tuition receipts, and supporting family bank statements. After landing in Vancouver, students activate the study permit at YVR immigration, register for a Social Insurance Number for on-campus work, and enrol in BC’s provincial medical plan through the college.
2026 update: British Columbia’s Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) is mandatory with every Indian study permit application to Langara — apply the moment your LOA arrives, since the PAL request adds 2 to 3 weeks before the IRCC filing.
Tips and Checklist for Langara Admissions
The following tips and steps are drawn from Indian-applicant patterns at Langara — timing sequencing sits alongside application judgement calls, and none of the items restate paperwork already listed in Documents Required.
- Book the IELTS 14 to 16 weeks before your target deadline: results take 13 days, and a resit slot needs a fresh booking window if Category 2 programs like Computer Studies reject a 5.5-band writing score.
- Apply within the first four weeks of the intake window: Post-Degree Data Analytics and Business Administration close on rolling review long before the posted date.
- Choose Spring 2027 (January) over waiting for Fall: Spring intake carries almost the full PDD program list and shortens your gap year by eight months.
- Request bachelor’s transcripts 6 to 8 weeks before the deadline: Indian university registrars average 4 weeks for sealed transcripts, and reissues after board delays derail the file.
- Pay the CAD 9,000 tuition deposit within one week of your offer: the LOA does not release until deposit clears, and the study permit clock only starts with the LOA in hand.
- File the BC Provincial Attestation Letter request the day the LOA arrives: the PAL adds 2 to 3 weeks and blocks the IRCC submission.
- Use the MOI certificate as a Category 3 backup, not a Category 2 substitute: most Indian applicants target Category 2 credit programs, which still require a formal IELTS or TOEFL score.
- Keep GIC and tuition receipts in a single financial folder: IRCC officers reject scattered financial proof from Indian applicants at a higher rate than any other single documentation gap.
Explore Langara’s tuition by course before locking a program choice, since per-credit rates vary by faculty.
Langara admissions reward early filing far more than perfect profiles — Class XII 60% and IELTS 6.5 open the door, but the rolling-review calendar decides whether the door is still open when your file lands. Spring 2027 is the next live window, closes 30 September 2026, and stays a viable route into a two-year Canadian credential with a Post-Graduation Work Permit at the end.

- The campus environment which fosters lots of opportunities for a student to develop into a confident and skilled person.
- Students from all over the world making it a very diverse place to study where learning has no gender or discrimination towards any culture.
- The campus has modern facilities and technology required today.
Dislikes
- Registration Process was not appealing in my case. As the college had limited seats for some courses for which many students had to defer to next semester which wasted a lot of their time and efforts .
- The Admin team takes a lot of time to reply and give updates on application status which is very frustrating.
- So many students didn’t receive any reply or update from the Langara admin team about their application status. It just showed Docs Received for months and after that nothing was updated.
Overview
Location was one of the main reasons for me to choose Langara as it is the heart of Vancouver which is a mix of nature and downtown providing you ample opportunities to explore. The campus is well connected with transit and it is accessible to reach other places faster. It has students across the globe making it a great place to connect and explore new cultures under one roof. Langara college to me was a home away from home. The diverse campus in Langara gave me an amazing opportunity to make friends across the globe. It made me more adaptive, confident than I was before. My overall experience at Langara was a roller coaster ride full of adventure, fun and lots of learning.
Overview
One of the best colleges in metro Vancouver in terms of infrastructure, curriculum, and faculty. More than 20000 students were enrolled in college back in the day. Experience was good i got lot of lessons experiences memories. College life is good and enjoyed too. The college is good in terms of infrastructure. Events and all. Overall I would say it was good. None, nothing was required to get into college. They didn't ask for any kind of SoP, LoRs, or CV. I got enrolled in 2020. Back in the day process was really smooth to get into langara.

- Main Vancouver location, short classes, plenty of time to work.
Overview
I would rate this as one of the best experience. It was difficult as hell, due to financial problems, home sickness. But after all I became a very confident individual with lots of experiences and friends.

- Because of its high reputation and prestige. Moreover, it also has its root top colleges and universities in abroad.
Overview
My overall experience is that here study is not that tough but assignments are a whole different thing. It requires time , focus and may also result in plagiarism if not paid attention.

- I was looking for a 2 year Data Analytics program from a good college as most universities had only 1 year program and very expensive. Langara is a reputable college in Vancouver and has one of the most affordable fees.
- The faculty of the college are very good and helpful. There are lot of volunteer options to take part in the college. For new international students there is a counselling department to help them with home sick and cope up with the new learning style. The fee is quite affordable when compared with other colleges.
Dislikes
- There should have been an in-campus accommodation considering the amount of international students in the college, college provides options for PG but it’s quite expensive and the seats fill out quite fast.
Overview
To be honest it’s difficult to come to a new country and settle in but still I find the college to be very welcoming to international students they are always there if you need any help personally or academically.
Scholarship
Langara doesn’t provide any scholarships.

- Even if it is a college, the rules and regulations and atmosphere were equal to a university. Great professors, Great teaching, Lab facilities and variety of courses that a person can dream of and join. Affordable tuition fee for students especially international students.
- My program is Diploma in Arts and Sciences Health Sciences, I chose this course because I’m a great fan of science and I’m very much interested in medical field. So if I graduate in this course in future I can opt any other course related to science like psychology and so on.
Overview
My overall experience in my college was excellent. The professors were awesome and everyone students will become friends with small span of time. There are different buildings for different courses such as science in different building, Business and IT and so on. Overall it was astonishing experience.

- It was the only one that had a data program with 2 year program.
- My college experience was very enriching and rewarding. I learned not only the core concepts of my field, but also the skills and competencies needed to succeed in the job market. The professors were very knowledgeable and helpful.
- The college administration was very efficient and responsive. I could easily contact any department, such as IT or academic affairs, and get prompt assistance.
Dislikes
- The program I attended was not very helpful in terms of providing us with connections for job opportunities. I felt that they could have done more to support us in finding suitable employers.
- Another issue I saw was the overcrowding of some Programs. It was difficult for some students to register for the courses, and sometimes they had to waitlist for a long time or take courses from other colleges. This is stressful and inconvenient, especially since students had to maintain a minimum of 9 credits per semester to keep their student status in Canada and work part-time.
Overview
I learned a lot from Langara college. It really helps students in terms of overall development of an individual. But it is a little lacking in terms of job opportunities.

- The faculty members are supportive and are always ready to help. They have a defined structure of the course and believe more in practical concepts than theoretical. Every semester has group projects and even individual projects.
Dislikes
- I personally liked everything during my time. There are activities in every semester and deadlines are always tight which might be good for some and not for others. The classes could even end at 10 at night.
Overview
It was good, I have provided all the required details which could answer this question in above questions.
Likes
- I had my mind to get in a well known college in Vancouver and Langara was the best option.
Overview
The college is good but the structure of picking up courses is quite bad many students lack behind time due to their work and are sometimes unable to register courses.

- Initially, it becomes difficult for every student to cooperate with any institutions matters. But eventually one becomes familiar. Getting admission into my college is really fun as one experiences a lot of extracurricular activities, sometimes a far college student. Also get chair massages for free during exams, so as to ease the tension. We also get health and dental benefits.
Overview
I chose this university because it offers entrance to only those students with 85 percentile and above. Moreover, the marking criteria of this college is a very tough pants. It prepares the student for further competitive exams. There are many extracurricular activities a student can do.
Scholarship
No, I did not get any scholarship because our college do not give a scholarship. Our college gives scholarship on the basis of study you do in Canada.
