Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) is a constituent college of KIIT, established in Bhubaneshwar. The institute offers MBBS, MS and MD courses, approved by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India and Medical Council of India (MCI).
KIIT has two wings- hospital and medical college. With an annual intake of 100 students, KIMS offers Bachelors in Medicine and Science (4.5 years) for candidates who have passed higher secondary examinations with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and English as compulsory subjects. Applicants who have appeared for pre-medical/ pre-professional exam are also eligible to apply.
B.Sc graduates with any of the two subjects among Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and Biotechnology can apply for admissions. Admissions will be made through the counselling conducted on the basis of the candidate’s score in National Eligibility cum Entrance Exam (NEET) conducted by CBSE for admissions to medical courses.

KIMS offers postgraduate degree in Medicines in number of specializations under its various departments. Applicants must have obtained MBBS degree from an institute recognized by the Medical Council of India. Also, one-year medical internship is compulsory qualification requirement for admissions. Admissions will be based on the counseling conducted after the national level medical entrance exam- NEET PG.
