Swami Keshvanand Institute of Technology, Management and Gramothan (SKIT) offers admission to its B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering program primarily through the Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process (REAP). Applicants must have passed their Class 12th in Science (PCM) with a minimum eligibility typically ranging from 45% to 75% in boards. JEE Main scores are crucial, with a general requirement around 90-95 percentile for Computer Science engineering. The REAP application process involves filling an online form post-JEE Main results, with an application fee around Rs.
250 to Rs. 295. SKIT follows the Rajasthan Technical University (RTU) framework and considers JEE Main scores for ranking candidates in REAP counseling. Additionally, management quota seats, typically comprising about 15% of the total, involve direct admissions with higher fee structures and not necessarily based on JEE scores or board marks. Reservation policies are followed per state norms for categories like OBC, SC/ST, EWS, and others, which may influence seat allocation.
The REAP counseling process, although systematic, could be time-consuming, typically beginning post-JEE Advanced results and extending through several rounds. SKIT has also been ranked highly in Rajasthan and emphasizes academic discipline, often retaining top college status in the region. For prospective students, the SKIT admission process, with its mix of entrance exam performance, board scores, and quotas, provides multiple pathways for enrollment.
