REAP 2027: Registration Expected May 2027, Eligibility, Counselling Dates and Cutoff

REAP 2027 (Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process 2027) is the centralised online counselling process for admission to B.E., B.Tech, and B.Arch courses in over 190 engineering colleges across Rajasthan. Conducted by the Centre for Electronic Governance (CEG), Government of Rajasthan, REAP 2027 will offer more than 85,000 seats in colleges affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University (RTU), Kota and Bikaner Technical University (BTU), Bikaner. • REAP 2027 Round 1 Seat Allotment: The first seat allotment result for REAP 2027 is expected in early July 2027. REAP 2026 Round 1 allotment for state candidates was released on July 9, 2026. Over 85,000 seats across 8 rounds of counselling will be filled.

What is REAP 2027?

REAP stands for Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process. It is not a separate entrance exam. REAP is a centralised online counselling process that uses your JEE Main rank or Class 12 marks to assign you a seat in an engineering college in Rajasthan. You appear in JEE Main separately — REAP just uses that score to rank you along with other applicants.

The process is conducted by the Centre for Electronic Governance (CEG), Government of Rajasthan. Admissions happen to colleges affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University (RTU), Kota and Bikaner Technical University (BTU), Bikaner. More than 190 engineering colleges participate in REAP every year — including government engineering colleges, university departments, and private institutions across Rajasthan.

The total number of seats available through REAP is over 85,000 across B.E., B.Tech, and B.Arch programmes. REAP runs in 8 counselling rounds. During each round, seats are allocated based on your merit rank, the college-branch preferences you fill in, and your category (General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS). After the main rounds, an internal sliding (upward movement) round lets you move to a better seat if one opens up at your rank.

For candidates who appear in JEE Main, the JEE Main All India Rank is the primary factor in the REAP merit list. Candidates who do not have a JEE Main score are ranked based on their Class 12 aggregate percentile. This means you can apply for REAP 2027 even without giving JEE Main — but your chances are much stronger with a JEE Main score, since all JEE Main candidates rank above all non-JEE candidates in the REAP merit list regardless of Class 12 marks.

REAP admits students from both Rajasthan and other states. About 85% of seats go to Rajasthan domicile candidates (Home State quota), and 15% of seats are available for candidates from other states (Other State quota). Rajasthan domicile candidates can compete for both quotas — other state candidates can only apply for the 15% Other State seats.

REAP 2027 Eligibility Criteria

You must meet the eligibility conditions below to apply for REAP 2027. Check every criterion carefully before registering — ineligible candidates can be turned away at the college reporting stage even after receiving a seat allotment.

Eligibility for B.E. / B.Tech (4-Year Programme)

• Qualifying Exam: You must have passed Class 12 (10+2) or an equivalent exam from a recognised board.
• Compulsory Subjects: Physics and Mathematics must be compulsory subjects in your Class 12.
• Third Subject: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical Vocational Subject, Computer Science, or Information Technology as the third subject.
• Minimum Marks — General / OBC / EWS: At least 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Mathematics, and the third optional subject.
• Minimum Marks — SC / ST: At least 40% aggregate marks in the same three subjects.
• Age Limit: There is no age limit for REAP 2027 admission.
• JEE Main Score: Not mandatory, but having a valid JEE Main score places you above all non-JEE candidates in the REAP merit list.

Eligibility for B.Tech Lateral Entry (2nd Year / 3rd Semester)

Diploma holders can apply for lateral entry to the second year of B.Tech through REAP. Here are the conditions:

• Three-year diploma in Engineering or Technology from a recognised polytechnic
• At least 45% marks in the diploma (40% for SC / ST candidates)
• Rajasthan domicile is required to compete for home state quota lateral entry seats
• Lateral entry runs as a separate counselling process under REAP

Eligibility for B.Arch (5-Year Programme)

• Passed Class 12 with Mathematics as a compulsory subject
• At least 50% aggregate marks in Class 12
• Qualified in NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) or JEE Main Paper 2 (B.Arch)

Home State vs Other State Quota

Rajasthan domicile candidates can apply for both quotas and compete for a larger share of seats. Candidates from other states can only apply for the 15% Other State quota.

REAP 2027 Registration: How to Apply

REAP 2027 registration will be completely online. There is no offline mode. You must complete the application in one session — all documents need to be uploaded at the time of applying.

REAP 2027 registration has not started yet. Based on REAP 2026 trends, the window is expected to open in May 2027. Start by registering for JEE Main 2027 first — JEE Main 2027 Session 1 registration is expected to open in October–November 2026.

Step-by-Step: How to Register for REAP 2027

1. Visit the Official Portal: Go to the official REAP 2027 website. Based on previous cycles, this is expected to be reap2027.in or reaprajasthan.co.in. The confirmed URL will be shared with the official notification.
2. New Registration: Click the new registration link. Enter your mobile number, email ID, and create a password. Save these credentials — you will use them to log in throughout the process.
3. Fill the Application Form: Enter your personal details, Class 12 information, JEE Main 2027 roll number and score (if applicable), category, and domicile details.
4. Upload Documents: Upload scanned copies of your Class 12 marksheet, JEE Main scorecard (if applicable), photograph, signature, Aadhaar card, category certificate, and domicile certificate.
5. Pay Application Fee: Pay the expected registration fee of ₹590 through Net Banking, Credit Card, or Debit Card. The fee is non-refundable.
6. Submit and Print: Submit the completed form and take a printout of your application confirmation slip for future reference.

REAP 2027 Application Fee (Expected)

The exact REAP 2027 fee will be confirmed when the official notification is released. There is no fee waiver or concession for reserved category candidates in REAP.

How the REAP 2027 Merit List Is Prepared

The Centre for Electronic Governance prepares the REAP merit list using this two-tier priority order:

All JEE Main candidates rank above all non-JEE candidates in the REAP merit list. A JEE Main rank of 80,000 still places you ahead of a non-JEE candidate with 95% in Class 12. This is the single biggest reason to appear in JEE Main 2027 even if you are primarily targeting Rajasthan colleges.

Merit List Timeline (Expected for REAP 2027)

• Tentative Merit List: Expected June 2027. Check your rank, percentile used, and category on the portal. Raise an objection immediately if your details are wrong.
• Objection Window: Typically 3–5 days after the tentative list. You can submit a correction request during this period.
• Final Merit List: Published after objections are reviewed — expected late June 2027. This is the list used for all 8 counselling rounds.

REAP 2027 Choice Filling

Choice filling is the most critical step in REAP 2027 counselling. The order in which you enter your preferences directly determines which college and branch you receive. A wrong or poorly ordered preference list can cost you a better seat even if your rank is good enough for it.

Rules for Choice Filling in REAP 2027

• You can fill up to 150 college-branch combinations as your preferences
• Fill choices in the order you actually want them — Choice 1 should be your most preferred college-branch, Choice 2 the next best, and so on
• The system assigns you the best available seat from your locked preference list based on your merit rank
• You must lock your choices before the deadline. Unlocked preferences are not counted in seat allotment
• You can edit choices multiple times before locking. No changes are allowed after locking

REAP 2027 Mock Round

Before the actual choice locking, REAP conducts a Mock Round. You fill your preferences and the system shows you what seat you would receive at your rank — without making it final. No seat is actually reserved in the mock round.

Take the mock round seriously. It shows you real closing rank data for each college-branch at your position on the merit list, so you can adjust your actual locked choices more accurately. Many candidates who skip the mock round make avoidable errors in their final preference order.

Tips for Choice Filling in REAP 2027

• Fill as many choices as possible — all 150 if you can. More choices means a better chance of getting a seat in some round
• Put your most preferred option first. If that seat is available at your rank, you get it; otherwise the system moves to your next preference
• Use REAP 2025 and REAP 2026 closing ranks to judge whether a college-branch is achievable at your rank
• Add both high-demand branches (CSE, IT, ECE) and other branches (Civil, Mechanical) at your target colleges — more combinations from the same college increase your path to that institution
• Include private colleges in your list as backup. They have broader rank ranges and you should not leave them out even if you are primarily targeting government colleges

REAP 2027 Seat Allotment

After you lock your choices, CEG releases seat allotment results round by round. The allotment is based on your merit rank, your locked preferences, and the seats available in each college-branch at the time of that round.

What to Do After Each Seat Allotment Round

• Check allotment online: Log in to the REAP 2027 portal after each round to see your allotment result
• Download allotment letter: Download your seat allotment letter — you need this at the time of reporting to the allotted college
• Accept or continue: You can accept the seat and report to the college, or continue participating in later rounds hoping for a better option
• Opt for upward movement: If you have an allotment and want a chance at a better seat in the next round, opt for upward movement when accepting

REAP 2027 Upward Movement / Internal Sliding

Upward movement (also called internal sliding) lets you automatically move to a seat that is higher in your locked preference list if that seat opens at your rank in a later counselling round after you have already been allotted a seat. You do not need to re-apply. For movement within the same institution, no additional fee is charged. For movement to a different college, previously paid fees are adjusted.

Spot Round and Management Quota

After all 8 regular rounds are complete, remaining vacant seats are filled through:

• Spot round: Candidates who missed the regular rounds or could not secure a seat can participate in the spot round
• Management / Direct quota: Colleges fill remaining management quota seats directly — this is expected in August–September 2027, based on the REAP 2026 pattern (which ran August 27–September 11, 2026)
