Placement Experience :

Second year students are eligible for Placements. There were several companies that visited the campus like Google, HP, Oxford, DCB Bank, HDFC Bank, etc. Highest package was around 25 lacs and average was around 9 lakhs

Remarks :

Huge Campus at the heart of Mumbai. Known for its Placements. The admission process was smooth wherein you need to submit all original documents along with a Demand Draft. The faculty and office staff are friendly and helpful.

The ranking of KJ somaiya in Mumbai and Maharashtra was a big selling point. Then its location being in the commercial city of India, Mumbai. 3rd point is its diverse and vast carriculum I got to study from. KJ also offers access to bloomberg terminal which is something really great to learn from.

Placement Experience :

Quite good but its very competitive so there are cases where people are not placed as per their choices or caliber.

Name, Diversity and placement. Moreover, the best college in accordance to the score I had. The location drives a lot of good opportunities and gives more companies a viable choice to come to the college and hire placements. Diversity is one of those things that allows more inclusivity and broadening of the horizon

Placement Experience :

We had a fair deal of companies visiting in the college campus as of now which included GEP, NESTLE, HSBC, JP MORGAN, MORGAN STANLEY and had a decent profiles for us.

Remarks :

This college is best for B.Tech and M.Tech with moderate fees. If you are good in your studies, then you will get nice placements easily. Almost every student who studies in this college gets placements. I also got placed in 2016 in Hyderabad. The basic salary offered is also good. If you want to become an engineer, then this college is best for you.

Placement Experience :

The college provides many opportunities for placements. Training and placement officer Mr Mahesh Patil is continuously working for the same. Cisco, Siemens, Accenture, Reliance, are the top recruiting companies in our course. Our first upcoming company is Cisco, and we are preparing for the same. Placements are nil for our course now, but it will change soon.

Ques. Is a PGDM (Core) at BIMTECH worth it or should I choose KJ Somaiya IB?

● Top Answer By Shubham Ghose on 19 Jun 21

Ans. You need to be sure of what you want to pursue, PGDM-IB or PGDM. In a traditional PGDM program, you will get to learn subjects such as finance, economics, accounting, management, human resources, business ethics, and organizational theory. This curriculum involves imparting theoretical knowledge in the above-mentioned fields. It will enable you to apply the knowledge in real-world situations. The traditional PGDM provides a concrete establishment for a successful business career in this competent world. However, PGDM-IB has a different outlook. With this course, you can have a successful career outside India. It focuses on adapting strategies suitable to work with other cultures, systems, and regulations. Graduates of the PGDM-IB program tend to pursue international careers in companies that are global. Whereas students with PGDM degrees engage in managerial careers. They tend to settle in a variety of domains such as education, government, finance, and private industries. If you have an interest in international business then BIMTECH, PGDM-IB course would be the best fit for you. They provide you with an excellent choice of electives including Marketing, Finance and Banking, Human Resources, Operations & Decision Science. The internship opportunities are tremendous as well as the placements offered. Here’s a brief outline of the PGDM IB course at BIMTECH. Ques. Is it worth it to study for an MBA in tier 3 colleges like TAPMI, BIM, or KJ Somaiya?

● Top Answer By Apoorv Ankur on 30 May 21

Ans. The worthiness of institutes cannot be judged as such, which is dependent on several factors like placement, academics, faculties, etc. Some of the key factors of judgment are listed below which would help you make a decision. TAPMI has some decent academic facilities, faculties, and a proper environment. The institute creates an atmosphere for decent learning. If you go for these tier-3 institutes, you need to take two main aspects into account.  Get properly accustomed to your own credentials and profile. The institute helps the candidate to figure out their level of competency. How far you want to go in life. Because growing in life needs hard work and dedication.  Tier-3 institutes cannot provide top-notch placement. Mostly, the profiles offered are some areas in sales, which is not desirable to many. Categories TAPMI BIM KJ Somaiya Course Fee 15.1 lakh 92.14 K 2.97 - 16.29 lakh Placement Percentage 80-90% 97% 80% Highest CTC 25 LPA 16 LPA 27 LPA Average CTC 11.5-12.5 LPA 9-10 LPA 10 LPA Recruiting Companies Nestle, Capgemini, Godrej, Citi, etc. HUL, Asian paints, Godrej, EY, etc. Jaro Education, Calvin klein, ICICI Bank, Outlook, etc. In the case of Holy Trinity and some other top colleges, this is not the same. These institutes offer substantially high-salary jobs, which is the actual competition. Therefore, it is definitely worth studying in these tier-3 institutes, provided the candidate is serious about his profile, career, and preparation.Read more

"KJ : Sports Management"

I apple to numerous colleges but then I got KJ on the first list and couldn't think of any other college than this. I got admission into KJ through sports quota as I delete sports management as my specialization and I am a state level kho kho player. So this made it easy. The admission process was basic. We filled forms from the college website and then the lists were displayed. As per the lists, we were called for a Personal Interview and then we were confirmed. The interview is only for the sports management section. There was a general interaction process gele before the academic year started.

"KJ Somaiya : Management"

I applied to a lot of colleges but since KJ was the best amongst all, I took admission here. I had a Gujarati Minority quota. The minimum qualification was 7+ pointers in Graduation. No age bar. Admission was applied online and then we were called for a personal interview session and then the selection was done. There was an orientation program that helps you decide which specialization is better for you.

10 /10 Student Satisfactory Rating

KJ Somaiya has been ranked 53rd among the private institutes offering MBA courses as per the NIRF rankings. It is must for those wanting to apply for MBA program to appear in CAT or CMAT or NMAT or GMAT as on the basis of score in one of these examinations, a candidate is shortlisted for the GD-PI process. The group discussion is case based.
