PSG College of Technology Admission Dates 2026

Admissions for the 2026-27 session are governed by three separate processes. B.E. and B.Tech seats are filled through TNEA centralised counselling by DoTE. MBA is through TANCET centralised process. ME and M.Tech run on Anna University and DTE Tamil Nadu schedules. TNEA counselling is the primary ongoing route as of August 2026.

PSG College of Technology Courses and Fees

PSG CoT offers over 60 programmes across engineering, technology, science, and management. B.E. and B.Tech are the flagship programmes with 17 branches and the largest combined intake. All fee figures below are for aided (government-regulated) seats and reflect the 2025-26 schedule. The 2026-27 revision should be confirmed with the PSG CoT accounts section.

Notable B.E. branches include Automation and Robotics and Metallurgical Engineering. The MBA programme has 210 sanctioned seats across six specialisations, including the distinctive Waste Management and Social Entrepreneurship track. ME and M.Tech span 29 specialisations including VLSI Design, Biometrics and Cyber Security, Virtual Prototyping, and Energy Engineering. Hostel fees are INR 72,000 to INR 1,20,000 per year, which in some cases exceed the annual academic fee.

PSG College of Technology Admission Process

PSG CoT uses state centralised processes for all programmes. No programme offers off-counselling direct admission. The TNEA route is the most competitive pathway for B.E. and B.Tech, with no separate entrance examination.

B.E. and B.Tech Admission

All B.E. and B.Tech seats, including management quota seats, are allocated exclusively through TNEA single-window counselling by DoTE Tamil Nadu. There is no direct off-counselling route at PSG CoT.

• Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as compulsory subjects. Minimum 60% aggregate recommended for a competitive TNEA cutoff. No separate entrance exam is conducted.
• TNEA cutoff formula: Maths + (Physics divided by 2) + (Chemistry divided by 2), maximum 200 marks.
• Foreign National (FN) and OCI candidates apply through a separate track at psgtech.edu/fn_oci/.

The TNEA 2025 OC closing cutoff for B.E. CSE at PSG CoT had a cutoff of 342 marks out of 200 in the TNEA formula, making it one of the most competitive private aided colleges in Tamil Nadu for CSE. ECE and Mechanical Engineering are also in high demand. Candidates targeting PSG CoT B.E. CSE typically score 95 percentile or above in Class 12 PCM.

MBA Admission

MBA at PSG CoT runs on 210 seats across six specialisations. TANCET score is the mandatory entrance requirement. Admission is through Anna University’s centralised counselling.

• Eligibility: Graduation in any discipline with minimum 50% aggregate.
• TANCET MBA score is required. PSG CoT’s MBA cutoff at TANCET centralised counselling is competitive given the large intake and brand equity.
• TANCET-based counselling for the 2026-28 batch began July 30, 2026.

ME, M.Tech, and MCA Admission

ME and M.Tech require GATE or TANCET scores. GATE scores are preferred for scholarship eligibility. MCA admission is through TANCET centralised counselling. Eligibility for ME and M.Tech is B.E./B.Tech with 60% aggregate in a relevant discipline. ME and M.Tech 2026-27 admissions are complete as of August 2026.

PSG College of Technology Placements

PSG CoT maintains one of the strongest placement records among private aided engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu.
