I've personally not faced the placement cell department but had heard that there are quite good placements with a salary of 2-3 LPA. It is quite high for a B.Com graduate these days according to me. But since the majority of the students persue professional courses so they do not sit for placements. So, to be precise the placement is quite according to my knowledge.
This a college which has secured the 2nd place in rankings of bachelor's degree in commerce for the past several years and the teaching faculty is extraordinary which helps students enhance knowledge and gather learning in a far better manner than other colleges. It also has a flexible College timing in the morning which helps students to cope up with other activities in the day. It also requires high results to get an admit which makes the class a better one and meritorious.
First of all i would like to start from the good Things :- 1. Faculties are really experienced with best knowledge in their respective field and have a proper communication way.2. Infrastructure is good3. classrooms are equipped with modern day equipments .4. administration is helpful whether it is related to study or any general issue .Bad things :- 1. Its far from the railway station ,eaither you have to take bus of 2 hrs or take a cab priced generally between Rs.300-4002. If you are a foodie then you won't be happy because there are not a lot of options around it .Admission process:- You have to fill the forms online and thereafter give a written test in the campus and thereafter give an interview over there .If you will be qualified then you will get notified through the website or email. The forms are out in the month of june. and the dates are fluctuating. Before taking admission I have done a lot of research through friends and have also saw its review on the website Collegedunia.com

This college is reputed for its college placements. Overall 90% of students got placements in various companies like ICICI Bank yes bank Citi Bank and many other multinational companies. I want to plan M.Sc after doing B.Sc.
This college is well known and prestigious in the Kolkata park street area. This college is apolitical with strict rules. The session starts here in July. In subject chemistry, the labs are well decorated and furnished.
The final semester students are put on-campus interview session. The lowest package is 5 LPA to 6 LPA and the highest package is about 15 LPA to 18 LPA. Near about 80% of student get placement every year. Build the nation is my only priority.
This is a very old Christian college in the middle of North Kolkata. It is situated in a park street area. Here Merit lists the main way to take admission. The faculty of the physics department is very rich in their knowledge. Teacher guides us like their son or daughter.
Students in their final year are eligible to seat for campus placements. You need to register yourself in the 5th semester if you want to seat for the campus program. You can opt for campus training also which is also really good. Most students who opt for campusing get selected. If you speak about Percentage then nearly 90% of students get selected every year from different streams. However, the fact is that not all students seat from campus. Even after getting offer letters from famous companies like Kotak Mahindra, Cognizant they go for higher studies like MBA, PhD. My plan was after getting my graduate degree was to seat for competitive exams. and to grab a seat in the first place. That is why I didn't opt for the campus program. I didn't dream of joining any corporate job.
This college is outstanding in the matter of teaching and discipline. This is a completely ragging free college. If any student is found to flout any rule he/she will be immediately suspended. Obviously, you will prefer this college over any others in Kolkata due to the sheer legacy and prestige you will get if you get a chance to join this esteemed college. The admission process was based on a strict merit basis. They took into consideration the best of 4 subjects obtained in hs exam and apart from that you needed to have maths as a subject in +2 level. If you speak about bad aspects then maybe some student from non English medium may find it a little bit difficult since the mode of teaching is English. Apart from that somebody also may not like the strict discipline especially after coming out from school.
Around 95% of the students were placed from this course. The average salary offered for freshers is 1.6 LPA. Good companies like Google, Microsoft, HCL, TCS, Wipro and many other companies visit this college. After getting this degree my plan was to complete my post-graduation.
The physics department is very much interesting in this college. The admission process was merit-based. In this college, a scientific research environment does exist. The reason for preferring this college is in this college more focused on computational physics which one will really need after graduation or post-graduation.
The final semester students are put in a campus interview session. The highest package is 15 LPA and the lowest package is starting from 6 or 7 LPA. Near about 70% of students got placement every year. I want to invest my knowledge in constructive work.
First of all, this college is in the middle of Kolkata city. Metro and bus connectivity is very good in this park street area. This college is autonomous and self-funding. The admission process is going on on a merit basis. There are 2 semesters per year in the college. The environment of education makes it different from others.
The placement cell of the college makes sure that the students get ample opportunity to showcase their talents to the recruiter. Students become eligible for placement from last semester i.e. semester 6. There are various top notch companies that visit the college like ICICI, Infosys, Wipro, amazon, etc. The highest package of the campus was 22 lakh and the average package was 5-6 lakhs. Generally almost 80% of the students get placements.
St. Xavier's College Kolkata is the first autonomous of West Bengal which bagged 7th Rank in the NIRF ranking 2020. There are usually no entrance exams except for BMS and B.sc(economics). Admission in all the other courses is done on the basis of merit i.e. the 12th marks of the candidate. Generally two merit lists are being issued. A candidate can apply for 2 courses at a time by simply filling up two different admission forms.

I choose this college because I was a student of commerce background and I wanted to Pursue B.Com Hons. from a prestigious college. I had applied to two colleges - St. Xavier's College (Autonomous), Kolkata and J.D.Birla Institute, Kolkata. The admission process for SXC involved an entrance test of 50 marks. With a combination of the marks achieved in the entrance and the percentage achieved in 10+2 board examinations, the cut-off lists were announced, post which the list of candidates selected for the personal interview was rolled out. The PI was then conducted as per the schedule and the admission process was completed on the very day. For JDBI, only the personal interview was conducted post which the admission lists were rolled out.by KHUSHBOO AGARWAL
I applied for 4 colleges including St. Xavier's College, Kolkata. I didn't attend the other three colleges because I researched that St. Xavier's College, Kolkata had the best Mathematics faculty. I didn't apply under any quota. I got admission directly with the help of my marks. In general, a student with 96% overall and 98 in mathematics (or above) gets admission to this college without any quota. The counseling day was used to get us acquainted with the college, classroom, teachers, etc.by Amrita
Quality of education is fairly high. Most faculty members are well qualified and helpful. Adherence to discipline and decorum is a must - so there's hardly any distraction when it comes to learning. Every topic in syllabus is covered. If one pays enough attention in classes, with little effort at home one can score really well. Exams are standardized and there's no favoritism in paper evaluations. College has great rankings in national level. Zero tolerance for untoward behavior; so it's a safe place. Other facilities including library service, access to computer lab etc are really helpful. On a personal note, the rich heritage of the college, the list of the notable alumni increased my interby Avi Sarkar
